all that means is it’s not getting worse and if he’s already been out 5 days why not just retroactively add him to the DL and bring up someone else for a few days
Props to Mr Sherman. We all know Dayton and Glass’ opinion on this. Am I remembering correctly that we were the only team that didn’t recognize pride month in 2019?
Looks like Olivares got pulled minutes before the start tonight in Omaha. Guessing Mondi to the DL. Soler to DH. Dozier to 3B. Oli to RF.
I'm so fucking sick of the kid gloves treating Mondi like he's fucking Ken Griffey Jr. He's not. The #1 ability is availability. And he clearly doesn't have it.
God damnit blue. 4 straight balls and you blow half of them. It’s Carlos fucking Santana, if it’s close and he doesn’t swing it’s because it’s a ball you twit.
Alec wrote an article talking to Piccolo about him and other prospects. “I think what’s most impressive about him is that it’s now been six starts. The consistency of his fastball command has stood out. He’s always had a good changeup, but there are nights when it’s really plus, and that’s carried him. And then there are nights when his breaking ball is really good. When his breaking ball is on and he’s got that changeup and throwing 97, it’s a tough thing for a hitter. He’s had nights where that breaking ball has been really good. What I’m saying is he’s managed to navigate and win games in different ways.”
NWA Twitter is a must follow every night. Also, what BS on the 2nd HR. Not to be outdone: Bobby is a double shy of the cycle and Nick is a triple shy.
Looks like we’re on ESPN again tonight for any of you heathens that done have to wake up at 5:30 tomorrow like me.
As long as he's a + dWAR catcher I'm fine with him catching. He might not be a + dWAR catcher by the all-star break...
Salvy isn't the catcher that he once was, but we can probably go ahead and throw some blame on the collection of fellas who walk the 3rd most batters per 9 in MLB. edit to add: the Royals are walking 24% more batters per 9 this season than they averaged in the years 2013-2020. And sure, with Salvy's reputation, maybe some of those wild pitches could have / should have been passed balls...but I don't find too many reasons to stick up for this staff over our beloved, fun loving, WS MVP catcher.
