In saying that I know we all agree, Parker’s ass>>>>Thor’s. But America’s Ass is probably #1 overall male/female/Alien/syndroid/etc.
I’d be cool seeing everyone’s ranking of origin movies. Even if sequels show scenes of before origin scenes, let’s just go by origin movies. 1. GOTG 2. BP 3. Homecoming 4. CA: First Avenger 5. Ant-Man 6. IM 7. Strange 8. Thor 9. Cap Marvel 10. Incredible Hulk And honestly, 2-7 varies by how recently I watched them.
I hesitate to call Homecoming an origin movie. Maybe even Thor. There isn’t a “how I became a superhero” moment.
Sony/Marvel obviously intentionally avoided an origin story for Spidey. It's probably only eclipsed by Batman in the number of times it's been done at this point. As for Thor, you don't really need an origin story. He was born a god, the end. His origin story is really how he came to give a shit about Earth when he knows that the entire universe is inhabited. Like that it's based in romance or not, I think the first Thor covers that, so it qualifies.
I’m all caught up on the movies and just finished Falcon Winter Soldier. Wandavision up next. I’m so damn hooked lol
I have a friend who always reminds me about creating a get together to go see Thor 2 but I backed out last minute because I had a migraine. And it was a very busy week for him and had to go to work at like 5am the next day... oops
The internet never fails to amaze, nice easter egg (Or Peter Parker has been secretly banging Pepper on the side this whole time)
You may be considering calling it after episode 3. Do not give up after episode 3. I can't stress this enough.
I have a 14 and 12 year old sons who grew up watching the Marvel films. I was on episode 5 of WandaVision and felt they really needed to watch it. So I told them, give it 4 episodes before giving up.....promise me. They were hooked after episode 3.
Friend from work line is one I wish they didn’t show in the trailer. Also, if they didn’t reveal hulk in the trailers the moment he showed up, the the theater would have erupted. One of my only gripes with MCU.
Upside was it built momentum for a franchise that needed it when the third Thor movie suddenly had the best trailer of all time on the way to monster box office numbers even though it came out in the fall around the same time as Justice League, if I'm not mistaken. Downside was it spoiled what absolutely would be a top 5 MCU moment if it hadn't been shown 6 months before. Hulk coming out in that moment would be up there with any non-Avengers scene moment if people saw it the first time in the theater.
