I haven’t hit on a single headliner pack this year, so best of luck. A couple diamond jerseys is all I pulled. I go for ballin packs, which lately has been awful too
I've actually gotten quite a few in Headliner packs, but that includes repeats. It sucks because you get a diamond, Karinchek, but he sells for like 6k stubs, which is less than the Headliner pack costs in the first place, so you can't get just any diamond to gain value, you have to get one with more rarity.
Id just grind br at the beginning of the program. It gives out good xp. You get affinity awards and I sold Reggie Jackson and Story for like 300k . You also get like 10 gold/silver flashbacks that go for 3-4k a piece
Bats and pen arms that are either 95+ in break or velocity. I don’t ever pitch a starter. I only use bullpen arms from the beginning because they recover stamina faster than starters. Only draft black and bronze starters.
That's kind of racist isn't it? Got my high dollar stuff through flipping if anyone cares. Diamond bats and gold bats that are not prospect cards. You can certainly make some money on them they just take so damn long to move. Really doesnt need to be a full time just, I just flip a few minutes here or there at this point.
Do you basically wait to see who is doing well, see what their card is, buy and then sell after they are updated to diamond or whatever?
Also, I'm annoyed with my Kimbrel card that started as an 81... I played with it a lot, and he moved up to 87, but now he's down to 79 -- can anyone explain this? He's kicking ass on my team and IRL, so I'm confused by the fluctuation. Same thing happened yesterday with my Ozzie Albies card.... It moved from 83 to 87, hit 2 HRs with him in a game, prestiged him (or whatever it's called) and then took him off the roster for a mission. When I put him back on the roster like an hour later, he was an 84. (To be clear, I'm using the adjusted rating, because the card rating doesn't fluctuate like that.)
It's called Inside Edge and only applies to Live Series cards. It's based on their matchup that day. If a batter is facing a righty irl that he mashes, his contact and power vs righties will go up. If a pitcher is facing a team that he struggles against, his shit will go down.
Yeah that's more investing though. Flipping is just moving cards in volume looking at margins. So the margins really depend on the market and the day. For example, I'll buy any bat between like 1K and 7K. Once I own them, list a the next lowest price, rinse and repeat. Make sure you just cancel all your buy orders that have been out there for a a while. I personally don't go longer than 15 minutes but some people let them ride an hour or so. Example below.
Gin Buckets also best margins are always on content drops like beginning of innings, POTM like today and anything else where a program either gives out tons of packs or requires exchanges. I was absolutely dead for a good portion during the second inning which I think is why they really incentivized the exchanges for the 2nd inning.
I didn't mind those. I always intentionally walk the first batter so I can pitch out of the stretch and then fastball fastball slider and it's a strikeout in three pitches 95% of the time
Finally remembered to put buy orders in for some perks and got my CAP upgraded 104/95 contact 106/99 power 81 reaction 82 arm 89 fielding 75 speed
Hmm I'll have to look at mine, can't remember the perks. I'm at 113/122 iirc with mid diamond fielding.
Got married on Saturday, currently in the DR and keep getting Twitter updates on cards and i want them But i can’t feel too bad
What’s everyone’s furthest home run? It was 449’ with Stanton but I just hit a fucking 457’ bomb with Ryan McMahon.
Damn that Semien card looks legit. I’ll probably have to see who I hit better with between Vlad Jr (POTM) and Turner (POTM) and replace the other one.
Hit one 438’ with the Silver Madison Bumgarner for his player program. Furthest I remember seeing so far.
if yall wanna post/dm your Online ID for the show I'll send an invite to a custom DD league. 90ovr team limit no CAPs Allstar Probably have ~12 so far
I put a damn good squad together right at the 90 limit. Going to have to make some kind of rule about how we staff bullpens. was pointed out that you can just put a bunch of really low overalls in the bullpen to lower the team overall and then trade out the 2-3 RPs you actually use between games. But the 90ovr is a good number to keep there from being lineups with multiple 99s and all the top SPs. Would rather this league not be playing all the same OP cards as ranked games.
Just played a guy that was 29-9 and he was horrific. Glavine had 19 k's in 8 innings and Chapman added 3 more in the 9th. Fucker quit as soon as his last vatter swung at a ball in the dirt and it lost connection before the end game screen could even load. Cunt.
Willpépé should I sell Trout now or hold him? Will he go up or na? Sitting at 480k now. Looking back and I bought him 4/29 for 352k.
Down 1, man on 2nd and 3rd. Lefty pitcher vs Mantle who is yoked vs lefties. Hanging curveball on the inside, timing says a ball hair late, bat picture says I hit out front of the plate. Lazy fly ball to leftfield.
Yeah I think you take that profit and be happy. I got burnt yesterday buying topps now cards. I made stubs but I’m now sitting on like 50-60k on dudes I need to go back up.
he's been increasing each week but if you already have him, just sell it and load up on some of the other cards you haven't bought yet.
TLAU are DD rosters locked when you start a custom league? If so, it may be finally time for me to buy Acuña
