hedman needs surgery after the playoffs. I’m sure someone else can get a surgery before the season also. Just got to time it to come back for the playoffs and we good.
i know you are exaggerating but that would not even be in the top 50 choke job all time in the NHL, that’s not even the biggest choke job in their franchise history, it’s not the biggest choke job of this years playoffs. That would not crack the top ten choke jobs from the leafs. who had them as a heavy favorite aside from a few on this board? This is fucking Vegas that finished with the same point total and had pretty good playoff success so far.
where? but regardless, that would not be a criteria at the top of my list to qualify a choke job. I bet tb was a bigger favorite when they got swept in the first round just two years ago
Pretty much everyone had the avs as overwhelming favorites after last round and then their odds jumped even higher after the 1st two games no one was even close
Tbf they tied or were pretty much even with vgk in nearly every category. Road/home splits between them were the same, except COL took the neutral site game. It should shock literally nobody that the go-ahead game in a tied series between these two went to OT.
Speaking of, how's Brannstrom been doing? If they hit on a few of Brannstrom, Thomson or Sanderson, that D could be somewhat similar to what Nashville's had been for a few years.
Hot take - I dont like Subban. He's dirty af on the ice and he always comes off as trying too hard when he does interviews or vlog type stuff. Like a WWE promo. I know hes a great dude, does a lot of charity, but feels really unauthentic. I know we all hate the stuffy cliche hockey talk guys, and Subban is not that, but I just dont like him. Maybe he'll dial it back a bit and surprise me.
He’s doing alright for a 5’9 D. Problem is he is left shooting and he will be behind Chabot and Sanderson when he arrives. He says he’s comfortable on the right but Sens won’t play him on his offside. His true value is he doesn’t need to be protected in the expansion draft even tho he’s played three years as a pro. If he makes it in the NHL it will probably be somewhere else.
you’ve been wrong for years then, he is absolutely top 5 but not better than Barkov or bergeron. He is better than danault offensively so his all around game is better but danault can shut a lot of players down.
Islanders knocking out boston and pitt would be too good then hopefully they can figure out a way to do the same to tampa
Marchand’s nose is probably why he is so good, imagine how much oxygen he gets through that huge pipeline. That’s almost an unfair advantage
But that last play was entirely made by Pasternak faking a one timer and in one motion just passing it right on the tape. Unreal play and great design
It won’t happen but mtl/ny islanders in the final would be fun https://media1.tenor.com/images/21e2430d8b5a006eb18f40f121313db2/tenor.gif?itemid=12844176
