Given all their issues with E. coli, the spoilered news from today, and their shitty tasting food, curious if people actually enjoy eating at Chipotle. Spoiler If you don’t, do you eat at Qdoba or Mike’s instead? Or a local equivalent (such as Illegal Pete’s in Denver or Baja Burrito in Nashville )?
I went once and there was red onion in everything and I can deal with red onion but if it’s in everything it gets overwhelming. So I’ve never been back
there's one a block from me so i eat it every once in a while. i think the food is fine. not great as a fast casual option but there are worse places. i'm unsure as to what you are expecting with the spoilered articles, though. operating expenses go up with wages increasing so of course they'll raise prices to increase revenues. exec compensation is disgusting (and moving the HQ seems awful) but it would seem reasonable to expect prices to increase everywhere.
Qdoba is the spirit airlines of burritos. Chipotle is good and I will happily pay more to increase worker pay. I suspect that a 4% increase will be much more than the bump in ceo pay
If you are someone who tracks what you eat then chipotle is a great if you are in a pinch. There aren’t really any other nationwide fast food options where you can keep your macro nutrients in some sort of sensible order.
The issue is news outlets publishing corporate press releases blaming a small menu price increase on worker’s wages while they move their HQ to appease the CEO who got a huge pay bump during the pandemic. But let’s not derail the thread. Let’s focus on chipotle’s shitty tasting food
Got chipotle last week or so for the first time in 5 years. The burrito was the size of a small rock and it tasted like shit. Confirmed my past decision to move on from them.
I was wondering how the average American consumes 3600 calories a day; but now I see people complaining about Chipotle portion sizes and I get it.
No I’m in south bend. But growing up in San Diego, I never really took to the mission style burritos, and I think that’s definitely a reason why I was never a huge chipotle fan.
Pre-covid I’d eat it once a week for lunch because it was a nice walk from the office haven’t eaten it as much lately and kinda miss it tbh
Nah it’s regional at least Chipotle here only accepts online orders and they have no way of limiting how many orders are coming at one time. Had an order to pick up at 7:15 got there and they were backed up by an hour and a half. You pay online so they can’t issue a refund and they told me the only thing i could for a refund was email corporate. Never got a refund. Haven’t been back
I have a Chipotle about three minutes drive from my house and in a week or two I'll have a Moe's about two minutes drive. I haven't had Moe's since I lived in Blacksburg forever ago and I remember virtually nothing of it. I eat Chipotle like two to three times a month, it's often the only fast food I eat at all. team stop caring about food so much you sweatlords you're going to consume some 75,000+ meals in your life and it's all going to exit your ass as the same brown mess.
Free refills. Haven't ate there since pandemic. One closest to me would have crap happen like running out of lettuce by dinner time. Never heard anyone ask for extra lettuce to point a restaurant just runs out.
Back when I worked in public accounting and had to work Saturdays during busy season we’d get free lunch. One spring busy season somehow the guy who ate at Chipotle every single day (not an exaggeration) managed to be in charge of ordering lunch. I ate Chipotle every Saturday for 6-8 weeks in a row. This was a few years ago and I’m still not ready to go back. Needless to say he was not asked to be in charge of it ever again.
I always plan to stop at one of these when driving through south Georgia but never do. I’ll have to amend that.
They opened a qdoba half a mile from my school. I eat there at least once a week. Big fan of brisket burrito bowls. At least the one by me doesn't give a fuck and gives me tons of food. I've discord that they'll make a kids quesadilla with brisket and w.e toppings you want. Ends to being plenty of food and is like 5 bucks with a drink.
I’d say once every two or three months when I’m incredibly lazy. I typically go to a local place but it’s breakfast and lunch only, so Chipotle (when I get it) is usually an uninspired dinner choice.
Also that the majority of Americans still believe you need to eat 3 full meals a day. Breakfast being the most important meal of the day is the biggest crock of shit ever.
I like Salsaritas better than Moes or Chipotle. But if I’m going the fast food/fast casual route, I’d rather just go to Culver’s, Chick-fil-A, or hell even Arby’s gyros 2 for $6. Also not really into the fast casual pizza places like Blaze or their competitors.
