other than the 2 blown saves against the Mets and the 2 blown saves against the Braves he's been great (this yr). he just absolutely sucks in important division games, been like this forever and therefore i hate him
his lefty hitting has definitely improved but he is so elite from the right that i would almost like to see him hit from the right side exclusively to see what happens
Compared to recent years, the Phillies pen are pitching like superstars and they still suck overall lol
either loss 8 or 9 after holding a lead at the end of 7 innings wish this franchise would just relocate somewhere A's come home baby
braves 10th inning: ground out walk passed ball to score ghost runner walk strike out walk passed ball to score a second groundout
This shit sucks Madrigal was gonna be a 3-4 WAR player this year easily Eloy and Robert were 3-6 WAR type players White Sox are gonna be lucky to win the shittastic AL Central at this rate
Madrigal has a 98.6% zone contact rate. So he apparently swung and missed at a couple pitches in the zone. Hopefully he can improve on that next year
I don't follow baseball as closely as I used to so I'm way behind on this, but reading up on the science of spider tack is fascinating. 538 article said it gives about a 2-300 increase in RPMs on fastballs which results in about a 50 point decrease in BA. If they weren't enforcing it and you're not doing it you're basically playing to lose.
1/3rd of our projected starting lineup. Bad luck, but they have to make a move for either an OF or 2B now. Deciding on which would depend on the market I suppose. I think though knock on wood no pitching injuries they can still win the division since it’s pretty mediocre to put it lightly.
JD Martinez solo shot off Greinke in B3 ties it 3-3. Such a great series matchup Good to see Martinez go yard again after quieting a bit/hurting his wrist Bogaerts follows with a double
No one played Monday and now like half the teams are off mlb scheduling is so dumb because now the teams that had 2 days off this week will probably have to play for 2 weeks straight
Padres just played for 3 straight weeks without an off day and have a 2 week stretch without an off day beginning tomorrow. Shit sucks
45-year-old looking Minor tonight: 7 IP, 3 H, 1 ER, 8 SO/1 BB. Kenshin Kawakami is still better though
Rizzo just said on his weekly ESPN radio hit that he’s one of the Cubs who did not get vaccinated. Cool cool cool This fucking team
it was a tough decision but at the end of the day, the idea of taking a safe vaccine to not die as a cancer survivor was just something i couldnt do
