I’m holding out on a new watch because 1) I don’t need a new one but mostly because 2) there are rumors that it will track blood sugar levels in the next couple years. I have a family history of diabetes so that would be a pretty big deal for me.
I would just had over my credit card to Apple and just say charge whatever you want just give me the damn watch if it did blood sugar.
Rumors of a new watch form factor this fall. More square edges like the iPhone 12. Vs rounded. I got a great deal on stainless series 5 with stainless link from someone upgrading to 6. I feel the watch is a great used buy.
Very true. Mine just makes the day. But I use the workout app 1-2 hrs a day. I’d imagine that’s a power hog
I got this Belkin combo charger that uses the MagSafe charger in iPhone 12. Overnight charging next to bed. So easy to check notifications etc. But expensive as hell.
The new additions with iCloud+ seem interesting. And bringing spatial audio to tvOS and MacOS is going to be nice.
unfortunately no. DAC issues with lightning port see video Spotify hifi or tidal are ahead due to platform support to stream independently
You can from a computer. Doing anything wirelessly/Bluetooth is not actually lossless, those protocols compress the files.
also for anyone wondering the airpods max are not "wired" when they're plugged in. It's still using a wireless protocol.
I don’t get who would want to hook up cables to their phone for better song quality. If you’re that much of an audiophile you’re more than likely hooking all that up to a computer.
I’m actually more hyped for when I move and hook up the latest Apple TV to my Dolby Atmos amp. You can tell a diff with AirPod pros and Atmos but lossless yeah I haven’t felt much diff if any at all. Maybe it’s a bit clearer or maybe I’m just tricking myself into thinking that.
I just switched from the Apple TV with this remote: to the Apple TV with this remote: I’m too blown away by the change in picture to notice anything with the sound.
it seems like unless you have a proper set up, the vast majority of people couldnt tell the difference between a 128 kbps mp3 and lossless audio
Went ahead and ordered the series 6 watch. With giftcards I had for Amazon, I got a GPS 44mm for $211. If I really want a 7, I'll give the 6 to my wife, or if it's too big for her I'll trade it in.
I hate it. It’s like listening to a speaker in a bucket. I keep trying to turn the music up because it doesn’t seem like it’s loud enough in my headphones.
Listening on my AirPod Pros and definitely picking up some "new" sounds I haven't heard before on old songs. Not necessarily better but it's interesting for now. Looking forward to listening on my Sony WH1000xm4's tonight to see if there's a difference.
I tried it on mine and it’s like trying to hear a song that a neighbor is playing. Absolute garbage. My beats studio are not as bad but it’s still garbage
I’d say the same. Currently listening to What I Got by Sublime which is in Atmos and it felt like the song had a different level of depth. Which makes sense.
The mixing of the song has an exponential amount of difference to how it sounds compared to the bitrate (assuming you’re not listening to some like dial up speed stream).
Switched to iPhone 12 Pro Max from XS yesterday via iCloud backup. Everything went smoothly except it didn’t transfer my iCloud Keychain passwords. Old phone was wiped and kept as a trade in. From what I’ve read there’s no recovery for that and I’m going to have to start over. That’s annoying. Some apps and sites stayed logged in, though.
Apple still doesn’t make Apple Music for windows so I’m still over here on Tidal with my Schiit stack (DAC+Amp)
Yeah but you'd know because you paid for it and damnit they need to appreciate hearing The Big Bang Theory the way it was meant to be heard. Really though Atmos is great and really good headphones make a huge difference, especially if something was mixed well.
Watch just delivered. Watch, charging cable, and L wrist band were all missing. Got a refund through Amazon. Reorder and still owe $10. They swindled me!
I switched to Bitwarden when LastPass made their changes and i really like it. It’s open source and works on all my devices seamlessly.
Lastpass works so well for me I am hesitant to ever switch to anything else. And last time I tried, the password export/import process was a disaster
I use 1Password because I’m 100% sure the guy who made it wears white tube socks with sandals and Dockers. Likely a Fanny pack, Hawaiian shirt, and transition lenses.
Seemed to work well. Might have to make this my password manager going forward. Free version does all I need, it seems.
For some reason, as of this morning, my phone thinks I'm in Kansas City even though I'm in Ohio, and have never been to KC.
