This is what we thought and actually bet on with a family member but we're not ready to go public until we've consulted our resident experts. #cashing
I stood in the spot I took the pic for about 8 minutes before I saw it. He was just chilling enjoying the sun and I was just attempting to catch fish. Both of us Saturday vibing.
So, my 6 year old daughter is all about snakes and frogs and lizards. She’s been saying for over a year now she wants to be a herpetologist. She also knows I’m not fond of any of them but not in an “they all must die” way. So, she comes up to me today after watching some reptile videos on YouTube and is like, “Dad! Check this out. How cool is this?” And all I could think was that would be my personal hell. But I thought some of you might enjoy this video. SIAP
There's a museum on the AZ/NM border near me that has a Western Dback/Timber hybrid that has to be close to 6ft. It's massive. Ill try to get out there and get a decent pic soon.
Not a snake, but a much bigger turtle than I have seen around here in a while And it's a hundred yards or so from the lake, kinda worries me if something is wrong with him, he seems to be moving along just fine though Central Texas What do you think Owsley ?
Saw AWF post this on Facebook. So awesome. The speckled king snakes in the Alabama black belt are imo prettier than any other locale and this one was no different. I’d honestly be speechless if I was ever lucky enough to come across something like this.
Some 21 year old TikTok dipshit who was bitten by a green mamba earlier this year let a zebra cobra escape in Raleigh on Monday. It was spotted by a reporter about 30 minutes ago. Not only is it highly venomous, but it also spits its venom at the eyes of predators!
One of my neighbors getting on next door and posting there’s a spitting cobra on their porch would be a real dream come true.
So far my favorite comment on this story has been the nextdoor post where a lady was saying a helicopter had been flying over her house all morning so they must be looking for the snake by air.
Did not know where else to put this but saw this hammerhead worm at a job this week. Apparently, they are an invasive species from Asia. Do not chop them up as they will multiply. Put them in a zip lock bag, seal it, and throw it away. At least that is what we are being told in North Texas.
oooooooooo. I know this one! That's a really pissed off Cottonmouth. Side note, any of you snake enthusiasts have a good solution for a pet snake who's eye caps didn't come off with the last shed? She's basically been blind for the past week and a half. One came off by itself yesterday, but we are having a hell of a time getting the other one off. Any tricks?
I would see if you can alter the humidity and increase it to help shedding. I’d also keep a water spray bottle and keep its eye moist. Not and expert, though.
