Yes, jumping the gun a bit here but seems most likely that life is completely back to "normal" in '24 and I want this to be as much about travel as the soccer. Here are the host cities: Here's what I'm planing: staying in the Dortmund cluster and trying to see as many group stage matches as possible. Probably 2 weeks, but I want to be back in the states (read: Vegas) for the knockout rounds. What say y'all?
This sounds so awesome. Keep in mind there is exactly Jack shit to do in Dortmund so maybe stay somewhere a little more cosmopolitan and train in on matchday
Aachen and Liege are close, easy day trips, as is Nijmegen, where I believe my 82nd Airborne great uncle was wounded during Market Garden
to answer someone's question from up above. rail travel is pretty quick and efficient. It was a 3.5 hour train ride from Berlin to Munich and around $75 for First Class (traveled in Sept 2022)
Euro2024.com will be the ticketing gateway. Just looked it up and we got the email saying we got tix for Paris in June of 2015. Plan accordingly.
Wait are they using goalline technology/VAR? They’re talking about overturning a no goal decision (ball was close to crossing the line but didn’t) like it’s a catch/no catch in football.
Incredible sequence there, walked away for 5 min and come back to see the Kazakhs went from 1-2 down to up 3-2. Then the guy who scored the third gets a yellow for taking his shirt off after the goal then another yellow for an elbow and gets sent off
Honestly Hansi is lucky Germany is hosting so he doesn’t have to risk not qualifying. This squad is awful.
Fox sucks, they dont even have an option to watch all qualifiers, just a couple unlike when ESPN had it.
Not that I want to stand up for Fox but Fubo bought up the rights to the rest of the matches. They have Nations League too I believe.
Over in Duetsche now. Honestly if you want it to be about travel fly into London, Madrid or other random Euro city and travel through the lands. We’ve flew into Amsterdam, hit Belgium. Other friends flew into London and Paris. Figure most places take half a day to a day by train, but bank of a day for matches if you are not close by and you should be good.
