Mondi pulled. I swear to God if he is hurt again.... I fucking hate him and the way the org treats him.
And what really pisses me off. We’ll give up on him. He’ll go somewhere random like Seattle. And be completely healthy. Play 150+, hit 35+ HRs, steal 50+ bags and will be an MVP candidate.
I cannot stand him. What an incredible waste of talent. It's a good thing I'm not the GM I suppose, cause I would trade him for a bag of balls at this point.
Just your daily reminder that Hunter Dozier and Jorge Soler have combined for a bWAR of: -3.2 and OPS+ of 51 and 67. Even light-hitting Nicky Lopez, with 0 HR, has an OPS+ of 88 and a 1.0 WAR.
Why isn’t Soler DFA’d by now? What’s the point of him anymore? He won’t get traded fir shit. He won’t win games from here on out. Cut his useless ass and give the ABs to Oliveras.
Duffy hasn't exactly been a paragon of health. So in a vacuum, having him in the pen makes sense. But treating him like a starter, having him look like an ace, then ILing him, then bringing him back with no rehab appearances then moving him to the pen after one start... Yeah, they are clueless.
Curious how the new stadium is. I thought the Ballpark at Arlington was really nice. Probably in the top half of the parks I've been to. I get they wanted a roof but that move was dumb IMO.
I know Petro is beating this drum, but the more I think about it, this team is perfect for an opener approach. Piggyback the 4 2018 guys and use Minor and Keller (if he can somehow get his groove back) to eat innings. Put Junis back in the rotation too. I don't think we have the depth to do that for a full year but half a season? Quarter of a season? It could be cobbled together to get the young guys acclimated. Also fire Eldred.
Will report back. I loved the old stadium too but day games in summer were just abysmal so I get the theory
they want to try and change his approach. maybe he’ll be better at moving a runner over instead of murdering every rally
