As usual, you could spot the winner early on. Spoiler Season 1 when Alan's walking around eating bull kelp before he even gets hungry -- yep, that guy's gonna win. Season 7 when Roland killed something and tasted the blood -- ok this mf does this shit for fun. Million bucks or not he'd be doing the same thing. He is one hell of an outdoorsman
Watching This is pop the boys to men episode. I can’t believe I never saw them as a boy band. Maybe because they can actually sing.
Watching This is Pop and for someone who hates Ace of Base (for really no good reason) I didn’t know how influential Sweden has been to pop music.
I watched this year's Eurovision Song Contest about a week ago. Sweden's won that shit about 6 times.
I’m on episode four of alone and there’s a clear front runner and one other that is capable of winning. On the whole though best group of contestants I’ve seen on it
not really, season one was ok but it doesn’t really help understand anything except from the type of show that it is. It’s a zombie show, very chaotic like it should be in a zombie world
And they are more like 28 Days LAter zombies instead of The Walking Dead zombies where they casually walk around but are somehow able to catch up on people who are running.
characters are also way more desperate than what you see from walking dead, it’s more « realistic » even though nothing is realistic about it.
I dunno. Season 1 when that cop quit after day 1 because they put him near some bears was entertaining. It is one of the best shows on Discovery plus though.
Black Summer got me interested in watching Z Nation again. Started my rewatch last night. Same creators, but Z nation is more comical and way over the top. Shows are different, but my understanding it’s the same setting. Black summer is the first couple years and Z Nation starts 3 years after the virus. Really different shows though and theory is they are loosely tied to each other It’s cheesy at times, but still my favorite zombie series.
Queen's Gambit is amongst my all-time fav shows/miniseries and it came out less than a year ago. Also, might I recommend ZeroZeroZero on Prime if you haven't already watched it... Ditto with Devs on Hulu.
Finally decided to give Peaky Blinders a try. Just starting episode 3. First 2 were good, not great but needed to set up the characters, I suppose. Seems to be picking up.
Yeah, my wife wanted to watch it this weekend and I think she was expecting a masterpiece. I was like wtf do you expect, it's Liam Neeson as a fucking ice road trucker.
I started it within the last year too. Finished s1 and didn’t feel particularly compelled to keep going. Maybe we should have watched when it was new Felt like an inferior Boardwalk Empire to me
Yep, I think whichever one you see first colors the impression of the other. I remember reading Stephen King "The Dark Tower" first then later trying Lord of the Rings. It feels like hey, this guy's ripping off Stephen King! When it's the other way around
there’s a few of these, but I love the show. It gets very good but I am a sucker for anything gangster related. the only issue I have with peaky blinders is that it makes me want to drink whisky and smoke cigares all the time.
Yeah both wife and I enjoy Peaky as well as Boardwalk. PB is definitely campier but BE, as with most HBO shit, could stand to lose about a full season's worth of useless dialog throughout the series.
