Local 46 has been having music on the weekends all June. I assume it may continue in July. Definitely a laid back dive
Haven’t bought tickets for any show there yet. Way too many jam bands and EDM on the calendar this season. I know they generally make up most of the concerts, but it is a little much this year
Not sure, just popped up in my feed. Going to a concert in August and coincidentally we're on row 40.
Well, report back. When I told her about the concert, my fiancé didn’t want to go to the Wu Tang show because it was the day before her bday. Understood, she should do what she wants for her birthday. fast forward a month later and she wants to go to the show and all the tickets are sold out. Cool!
Not yet but splitting a lot of time between here and Birmingham. Probably will be permanent (at least somewhere in CO) in a year or two.
I’m trying to find a peach beer my wife was telling me about. A few liquor stores around me haven’t heard of it.
Any good turf/grass dog parks around Denver? Only ones I’m seeing are dirt/mulch and that’s not ideal with a white coat
Cherry Creek State Park is “grass” with dirt trails, but it’s Colorado wild grass, so it’s still pretty brown throughout.
Taking the kids to Coors today for the celebrity softball game. Wife is bugging out about this already
Sculpture Park is a cool spot to see a show. Already been to 4 shows since I got back a week ago and have another ~4 over the next 7 days. Here goes nothing.
What sports betting app does everyone prefer on here? Forgot they legalized it in Colorado and figured I might as well join the fun.
They are all fine. Bet mgm and points bet are fine. Just try them all and get those sweet sign up promos for football season
I'll be visiting your fine city for the first time July 30th weekend. Girlfriend got us Jason Isbell tickets for that Sunday night at Red Rocks and we've yet to plan anything else other than flights in Thursday night and out on Monday. Any/all recommendations would be greatly appreciated. What area to stay (most likely doing an airbnb), restaurants, things to do. Typically eat/drink our way through a city when we visit. We aren't huge beer drinkers, but will definitely be hitting some breweries. My tentative thoughts are to do something outdoors oriented that Friday, then Saturday/Sunday to more Denver specific. Want to do at least one nice dinner which we do have a reservation at Guard and Grace currently and Room for Milly beforehand for drinks, but aren't necessarily married to those things. Girlfriend also wants to go to Happy Camper for lunch one of the days. Any go to brunch spots? We enjoy outdoors things, but aren't really outdoorsy type if that makes sense. So for that Friday we're looking into some approachable hiking with good views or potentially driving further outside the city for something. Garden of the Gods and Glenwood hot springs have been mentioned by the girlfriend, but I honestly haven't dove into that too much.
Lots of good spots for breakfast in the highlands (javiers, rise and shine, sunny’s, tons of breakfast burrito options), but universal is damn good
What’s your favorite bfast burrito in the highlands? I still haven’t given up on Santiago’s because it’s only $3
Burrito giant, La Familia, chaludas. Used to eat Lil chickees a lot. I think it closed. I’ve heard tamales by la casita has good and cheap breakfast burritos
Seeing Tedeschi Trucks on Friday 7/30 and Isbell on Sunday 8/1. Might be drunk for that entire weekend.
