Yeah Yeah, that shit is old, but newer than I Shouldn't Be Alive, I should have corrected. Anyway, that show is great regardless of age.
Check out some of these per-episode budgets at the bottom. https://www.visualcapitalist.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/06/Film-TV-Industry-2.0.jpeg
Has anyone seen Britannia on Prime? My cousin told me it was good, but it looks to be on the silly side.
“Got access” to Paramount+ this week to watch Quiet Place 2, but anything else to binge or check out?
I love Britannia but I'm a sucker for both fantasy and historical fiction so it ticked a lot of boxes for me.
Do you like Tim Robinson and/or Sam Richardson? Detroiters is apparently on Paramount. I just learned this in another thread.
This just dropped on torrance. Looks like it came out on Sky Atlantic TV so not sure when it shows over here.
I’m just now starting to look into YouTube TV because I want to watch football in 4K. I see the free trial is only five days which seems low. There’s an option for entering in promo codes. If anyone knows of or sees a promo for a longer trial, can you please share it here? I’m new to all of this shit but hoping to sign up Friday so I can test out 4K for the Nebraska game. Love, Pelican
Don’t have a code but the 4K is cool. Not much offered in 4K yet, but the bonus to subscribing to the 4K is you can download any recorded show for offline play.
Yeah I was watching some videos about it last night and came away willing to pay the $65 per month plus whatever it is for the 4k package. I'm sure there will only be a handful of games in 4K but I'm excited to check it out. Have had a 4K tv for two years now and never really seen anything in 4k except for a couple of Marvel films.
The main free trial is indeed short, I understand why. However, you should be able to get a 30 day free trial of the 4k add-on package, if you chose to sign up. And that 4k package is "half-off" for the first year, so $10/month. It will be $20/month (and surely with may more content) next year. Here is what is published as far as the 1st/2nd weekends, in terms of CFB. More games could be added, but the networks should have finalized this by now. These are all from Fox, FWIW. And all sports currently listed in 4k.
The schedule only goes out like 7 days, or ~14 days at most, so that's why you only see a handful of listings. A handful of listings per week x52 weeks gets you a nice mix. I know they can do better (more coverage) but you have to start somewhere, and technically the production (and quality therein) is the issue of the rights holder, not YTTV. I watched tons of Olympics in 4k, I watched the MLB all star game in 4k. EPL soccer, with the season having just started, has shown 1 game per week in 4k. The Masters is historically in 4k, there will be plenty of stuff throughout the year, but those events are not in the guide yet. Here are the officially included networks to offer 4k content Discovery ESPN FOX Sports FX Nat Geo NBC Sports Tastemade The promo images, at least from the sports networks, also highlight Nascar Cup Series, and NCAAM, and Notre Dame games too
Other than Ted Lasso and Boy's State what is must watch entertainment on AppleTV+? Is The Morning Show any good?
I’m on episode 5 of the morning show and I like it. Not sure I’d be super into it without the cast of heavy hitters.
Is anyone watching Mr. Corman? I think JGL is a great actor, but the trailer didn't interest me tooooo much.
I like shows like this. Set in a high fantasy world where magic exists, but only some can access it, a woman named Moiraine crosses paths with five young men and women. This sparks a dangerous, world-spanning journey. Based on the book series by Robert Jordan.
