I think you’re taking it a little personally and using some unnecessarily strong language, but I do agree that they could’ve handled it better. More than likely, it was a product of lack of coordination rather than ill intent.
I hate this society where you send money to help him but don't know if it's going to be used in his best interest or to people running varying levels of a scam
I didn't mean towards him. You just never know with attorneys or other various organizations what their intentions are. If I doubted GK, I wouldn't have donated
Again, nobody wants credit or acknowledgement. Not sure where you guys are getting this from. The concern has been laid out but you guys go with this instead. It's weird.
I hate this society for the fact that GFM is needed for circumstances like this, for medical bills and many other things that could/should be handled by a functional government.
hope he uses the money to escape to somewhere that doesn't have an extradition treaty with the Lone Star State
https://gofund.me/1a418240 consider contributing to this as well. This lady was sentenced to 5 years in prison for casting a provisional ballot that wasn’t even counted.
I want my 1000 dollar anonymous donation back and the credit that Nandor the Relentless tried to pawn off as his
I was out camping (not full glamping because I still like a tent, but I wasn’t starting the fire, at a state park, with a flint) & couldn’t keep up on this with lack of reception. I’m catching up now. I got a few opinions. - Gallant Knight 100% seems to be coming from a good place. As I stated earlier in this thread, I think most of us have got to this point. The gift of giving>>>>>recognition of giving gift>>>>receiving a gift - the intentions of basically everybody in here were good. Might be some things we need to figure out down the road. I say this for a simple reason. We continue & perfect (& it’s been this way, I don’t want to diminish anything in the past, but I fully think we can make this a mini-tank of smart donations going forward & we keep using the people in the know on this board to continue to refine how we go about this.) - lastly, enjoy doing something good. I 100% realize that the narrative can be 1 of 2 ways. A) you are a piece of shit and suck at life B) you do everything for the good of the satisfaction and the praise that comes back. Don’t feel guilty about that satisfaction. You absolutely should. Making another person’s life a bit easier or a moment of happy SHOULD make you feel good. That should NEVER stop you from doing good. It’s a benefit for both you and the person receiving it. (Especially when it isn’t a thing where you expect praise back. Feel good about that feeling within yourself that makes you feel good. Endorphins kick ass.) Lastly, it simply does a really good thing for somebody that might not get that chance and deserves it. Maybe it helps them turn around a rough time. Maybe they were already awesome and it gives them more ammo to be more awesome. Let’s not let this be a pissing contest. Let’s talk stuff out and refine the way we deal with this as a community of random posters on a college football board that became human. It’s a cool thing . tldr: don’t be mad at the process, be happy with the results and let’s refine it from here going forward
if he has a journalism background, he should have started with something like this: We bailed Hervis Rogers out of jail and you won't believe what happened next!
Should have just donated it to the charity of my choice for me to do something dumb on the internet then!
It’s an insult that’s pretty much exclusively aimed at males, so from there it’s pretty clear what the implication is
I mean lets be real quite a few Republicans (Any of them rail against LGBT rights) 100% do it in their spare time.
I've called plenty of women cocksuckers FWIW but I've edited the posts. And will not use this going forward.
When I call someone a mfer, I don’t actually think of them of being a person that fucks their mother.
When you are calling a man that as a derogatory term, yes it is. It’s just another way of calling them gay or a f****t as an insult.
This same logic could be used for someone who still wants to call someone gay or a f*g. “What the word means isn’t actually what I mean”
