I want to make a joke about @Devine’s mother being so big she counts as half the population and also sucks all the of dicks but idk if that’s allowed anymore
Should we have a separate thread that tracks small local elections/votes so that we can organize and try to push more progressives in local political roles?
Feel like I had a good idea that got lost in all this dick sucking talk, I dunno though if my idea isn’t better that sucking dick maybe it sucks now I’m confused
So, um, how about Hervis Rogers? Outing everyone who uses cocksucker in their daily lexicon is fun and all, but... ^^^fantastic idea. We can all donate in C A N E's name to these small actions.
Certainly, that's not how it's typically spelled though, at least not in places I've lived. Not to mention it's not really something you write very often.
Grandfathered In Meaning: when people or companies are allowed to continue following an existing set of rules, even after new rules are put in place Origin: Even after the 15th Amendment was passed in 1870, giving Black American men the right to vote, a number of states instituted poll taxes and literacy tests to make voting more difficult for Black people. This was a way around an outright ban on Black voting, which had become illegal. But several states passed a law, known as “the grandfather clause,” saying that if you could vote before the 15th Amendment was passed or were the lineal descendant of a voter, you didn’t have to take the tests or pay the poll tax. In other words, if you were white, you were “grandfathered in” to being allowed to vote.
I heard somebody reference the "Sheeny Man" on the street the other day. I assume the guy doesn't realize it's a antisemitic slur.
challenge: go try to tell your dad or grandpa they shouldn’t use some of those words/phrases and the reason why. good luck lol
Perhaps. With that said we’ve had multiple people in this very thread either argue about the true meaning behind some of those words/phrases, or just now learn about their meaning... sooooo.... might just work as a broad generalizable statement. I could be wrong.
Some of my fondest memories of my grandfather involved he and I calling each other cocksuckers at family events
You know what they say: If a man builds a thousand bridges and sucks one dick, they don't call him a bridge-builder... they call him a cocksucker.
I got into reading a lot about the Roma a while back so I understood the origins. Not trying to be a dick about it. But, like lyrtch said most slurs have problematic origins. I guess it comes down what one is comfortable saying.
im not saying the slur is acceptable, but that article said their reputation is unwarranted. didn’t we have a whole thread about their shady ways back in the day?
