Don’t based on TA 3 last year 3/4 of these cards will be garbage. Also 90% will be obsolete in a month. Trout will always be juiced.
I always feel like I need someone on Reddit or whatever to make a spreadsheet so I can see all the cards at once and my ADD brain can figure out my plan.
Idk man this is kinda dumb. Like all that grind people have done was worthless now. Someone buying the game today can build a goated squad in 6 hours. Fucking Salvy Perez is 90/93 vs right and 125/125 vs lefty. They way over juiced these guys and that sucks.
Last year it was the postseason cards, which I get it. It's end of the year. But man this is just the all star game.
In a way it’s cool, like a KC fan can say sweet I can use this insane Salvy card, but yeah now everyone can have an insane team right away. Which if that’s the mindset I get it, but would have been better almost if they released some random small challenge/grind and everyone picked one all star card. Or something like that.
I think it's them knowing how many complaints there have been of pitcher duels because of how MF hard it is to hit above all-star difficulty due to the influx of unhittable pitchers they've put out in the past 2 months and now they're leveling the playing field by putting out equivalent hitters. There aren't anymore OP pitchers in TA3 cards that I've seen besides Degrom

I think it would suck if current players were never playable because the game also has a bunch of legends. That would really suck for fans of teams with only a handful of HOFers.
Elite current players like DeGrom, Ohtani, Trout, Vlad, Tatis, and Acuna? Ok cool. But Salvy Perez? Nick Castellanos? Hard pass on that.
It's how all of these games work (MyTeam in 2K, Madden/Fifa Ultimate Team, etc.) The cards gradually get more juiced throughout the game cycle. I remember last year 2K put out some crazy juiced Bol Bol card. It's what 95% of the people like and want to play with. Also Hank (and most of the legends without anything above a 95) will have a 98 or 99 down the road. But like Willpepe said, just because these all star cards are rated high, doesn't mean they play well. Last year TA3 was all legends from each team but before this year, current players have been useless after the first month until they release the playoff and finest cards. If they give Hank and Mays and Ruth 99 cards in early June then they aren't able to make as much money on people buying stubs and packs. Sure Cruz and Castellanos have juiced bats but they're ass in the outfield so that's the tradeoff.
I expected a few really good cards that would replace some of the current best cards but I just think they went overboard. There's really not much left for cards to get better and it's July. I can't see Aaron and Ruth and Griffey being significantly better.
If you do the 1st 4 mini bosses, you only have to score 1 run off DeGrom and you have a lineup of all 120 power guys.
There's like 70 all stars. They could have made 30 solid cards and then 6 juiced cards for division rewards. They didn't have to juice all 30 cards.

If you look at TA3 last year it was really similar and majority of those cards were pure trash. Not a great bat that I can remember at all, most pitching options which would make the most sense if they are juiced and produce. Point is, yeah they are higher ranked but most will be shit. I don’t think any bats from TA3 last year were end game. If it happens I agree with you, but I don’t think it’s anything to worry about at this point.
Think we're going to reboot the TMB Custom league with just people who think they wanna play more regularly. Several teams with 3-4 games played in a month. Feel like now that we've got the TA3 out there nobody is gonna feel disadvantaged and we'll make a 95ovr team cap with no other restrictions. anybody who wasn't in it before and thinks they could play 3-4 games a week let me know
Just played a TA3 showdown and timed it, 19 minutes. Was at 7 minutes after draft and 1st round so rest went super quick.
some people play day games. almost all play night games. and most people squeeze in a few on the weekends both day and night. we've just had about 7-8 teams that have only played 1-5 games total in a month when half of the league is pretty much done.
Fwiw I stopped playing bc I couldn't find anyone to play. Idk how many games I even played. It just got to be a waste of time trying to find games.
I’d guess if most of the league posts in this thread/on TMB it wouldn’t be too bad setting games up? Not sure how many non TMBer were in the first attempt.
I may be hoarding too many cards. I just completed all of the AL East collections and I only used like 5 silvers, no golds or diamonds.
We were assuming you’d be in the condensed league.the same 8-10 people were always asking if anyone wanted to play. So probably 10 is gonna be the number of teams we go with
