I remember what really bothered me, the movie needed more Russia (character and feel) the best parts of the score where when that choral music hit
They did the Thunderbolt Ross looking ill bit to set up him transforming into Red Hulk because he's dying and takes a super soldier serum right?
not sure how true it was to the comics, but they Red Hulk storyline from Earth's Mightiest Avengers could probably translate really well to the MCU. would probably work best after Secret Invasion.
I mean, she's not Thor or Strange or even Spiderman. I never expected her villain to have insane powers. This is basically a spy/action movie. The hard part isn't killing the guy, it's getting to him.
The whole point was that the guy was a piece of shit who took advantage of and used others to increase his own influence and power. He wasn't supposed to be some badass, he even brainwashed his own daughter.
I really think more than anything for me it was the aesthetics that needed work, it just felt like a generic 90’s action film with the Red Guardian thrown in. Like I said I think it needed more Russian feel.
Pay 29.99 to watch Black Widow from the comfort of home or just wait until it’s free. Trailers don’t impress me
Some quips from the opening scene. I forgot their whistle at the very start by the time it came back into the movie. Guardian sure does go from nonchalant for a few minutes to gtfo now. What Easter eggs were on the football game scoreboard? Without doubt MCU Guardian got the SSS. Is the whole child abduction montage the darkest in the whole MCU?
When I was reading through some of the thread yesterday I got confused with some comments. Was TM’s fight mimicking not immediately apparent with her using Cap’s cathedral AoU flip then out-widowing the widow?
Think he means this thread is full of people that are going to like it more than most, so you may get skewed results to your question. It’s good and I enjoyed seeing it now, but if the trailers didn’t impress you, I think it’s safe to wait.
All that said, this was the least marvel marvel movie I can remember. More James Bond or mission impossible. Not sure us that makes you more or more excited. But it’s a pretty decent bond/mission impossible move for sure
The interior had that shit worn out dated look and feel to some of the rooms. Hard to get more Russian than that.
Watched it last night at hone with my wife and a bottle of wine 1) Not for kids at all 2) Needed more Russia everything 3) The Red Room being a Flying Fortress was lame. The General using men in armor as his body guards while he has 25 Widows in a room was umm weird? The General allowing himself to be alone with an Avenger was a giant plot hole. He’s this secretive dude who operates out of a Flying Fortress but yes let’s just let an Avenger hang out unrestrained unguarded after he sends his super soldier daughter away. 4) Red Guardian was underused and their should’ve been more emphasis on his fight with Taskmaster 5) why would the general put Russia’s only Super Soldier in prison even if he knew what was on that disc- he was super loyal and could’ve just been brainwashed as well. What an asset that would’ve been Overall the first two acts are great, taskmaster is cool, red guardian is cool- worth my $30 6.8/10 would watch again
that was stupid lol she’s a damn avenger who fought aliens no way she can figure this pheromone out I’m good dawgs
She was supposedly collateral damage and Nat killed her. Still dumb to make her Taskmaster. Her in the outfit was noticeably smaller than the rest of TM scenes
Cheadle nominated is a bit ridiculous. Might be political or voters have no idea who the other possible candidates are and didn't watch anything
