Amazing lineup and if we didn't have a wedding the weekend prior, we might have gone. Trivecta is underrated and that Slander/Said The Sky will be great. Love Slander but haven't seen them live yet.
As close to perfect for me as I could've hoped for. Hopefully Trombone Shorty does a night show Friday or Saturday
No problem. I see he has two shows already for Nola that week. I’m sure he will pop up other places too.
It’s gonna flop if they make it an EDM festival there. That venue craves a more jam band/rock vibe. It needs to be more like Waka/Harvest Fest than trying to be Nocturnal
Day one of Under the Big Sky was great. Billy Strings was phenomenal. Had an issue with our tickets though. Bought the 3 day pass through Stubhub and it was actually a two day. So we had to purchase Friday tickets there. After an hour phone call got it cleared up and stubhub refunded me 33% of the ticket and fees.
Saw Kaskade in LA at the new SoFi stadium on Saturday. Deadmau5 was a surprise opener. Felt good to be back. The stadium is insane, but the area around it is awful.
Just realized that's the same weekend as Pilgrimage. Which means The Black Keys will be playing Saturday night at that fest since DM will be at Farm Aid. Sweet.
/ Goodness, The Killers have fallen to "headlining something called Sand Jam with Shine Down" territory?
I mean, for entry they required proof of vaccination or a negative test (I believe within 24 hours). Is the thought process that festivals should just be cancelled indefinitely until COVID cases are near-zero? Is it that 110,000 is too many people but there's a better number out there (50,000? 15,000?).
ppl just want to bitch, it’s outside. They had requirements for entry f it let it happen at this point
While I want to agree, they actually extended the test to 72 hrs this week to be more lax which I think was bad
Stayed up watching it on Hulu. Really hope that becomes more of a thing. I know festivals have live streams but it was cool just being able to watch it on Hulu.
We went to a 35,000 person indoor concert in Vegas 4 weeks ago when Delta was raging and we were in the pit. There have been 0 reports of spread from that event. Same with Garth Brooks two weeks later and that was like 70,000 people. We also went to a packed show at the Ryman last Monday and I felt there was a greater chance of spread than any outdoor event.
Fucking brutal. Only 2 tickets I have right now are to Jazz fest and pitchfork. Getting really nervous pitchfork will cancel too if there’s any delta fallout from lolla.
