Rolling fork buys barrels from distilleries and then resells them. This barrel they got from Foursquare and then finished it.
Thanks for filling me in, that's cool I'd never heard of them but definitely enjoy foursquare. All Leeroy Jenkins! fault for sending me that 2007 sample.
So, had my buddy over to taste a bunch of stuff. We didn’t get to everything in this shot, but he picked what I figured he would: Spoiler Blantons, Weller 12 was a close second for him. He’s only recently gotten into whiskey and wanted a “special bottle” for his bachelor party and wedding day. Poured him some Lagavulin 16 and got the predictable Never gets old.
Watching Heist on Netflix. The pappy shit is crazy. It’s fucking bourbon. Giving someone 15 years for fucking bourbon. JFC
Speaking of TV shows, Justified is A great show not just for the acting and dialogues, but for the amount of bourbon that flows.. and there's a Pappy heist that figures in there somewhere
Had some pretty good pours at dinner this evening. 4R SmBLE THH EHTBP Threw a prime ribeye in there too.
A southwest type restaurant has a reserve flight posted for 16 bucks. The menu was printed a long time ago. Was able to get Stagg Jr EHTBIB and Blantons for that.
Before the wedding I went gts, w12. After I had WFP. Don't remember a ton from the WFP, but w12 tasted like water after gts
yeah should have started with the w12 then full proof then gts. Keep from burning your taste buds out.
Didn't know how much time I was going to have at the hotel bar so I wanted to make sure to get the gts
There are moments in time where you forget how much bourbon you have. I thought I’d lost my extra Belle Meade cask strength Madeira finish from Plumpjack spirits in San Francisco. I’ve been babying the last third of the open bottle because I couldn’t find my extra. Well tonight while shuffling through my closet I found the extra plumpjack pick… and an extra Madeira cask strength from the distillery, and a sherry cask strength from the distillery, that I completely forgot I owned.
I know some people in this thread mentioned the Rebel Yell and Ezra Brooks cask strength picks were good
Yeah, Ive made my wife go in with me cause it's 1 per day per person. Have 1 open and a couple for some friends and family. I will be back tomorrow in hopes it's still there
I'll check for you, they are likely to have the OBSF 9 year as its not going as quick. Want that as backup?
