A 16 year old Romanian went 47.3 in 100 free(top time this year, 10th all time). Normal for women to start peaking in late teens, having speed like that in men’s is insane Dressel has a lot of competition in that event
I will say I forgot Jrue and Khris are a part of this team, the D should definitely improve once those guys get out there.
the defense would improve if they just stopped switching against everyone also, the Dame - Beal - KD - Draymond - Bam lineup was really good today. defense + shooting + pnr. i would expect that to be a closing lineup unless Jrue's defense is required.
If the actual purpose of these is to "avoid intimacy among athletes" then what a genius idea because everyone knows the only place it's possible to have sex is a bed.
This is the first Olympics in 9 years I'll be home to watch and it's going to be a cluster fuck. This sucks.
I'm going to guess there will be some cases just like there are amongst the gen. pop. but overall it'll be manageable and the Olympics will be awesome albeit weird with no one there. #prediction
Man it's nuts to me that you train for years trying to get to the Olympics but you put all that in jeopardy by not getting a vaccine?
She sounded eager to get one in April, and just looking at her schedule, it looks like she’s been out of the country since then
Is it safe to assume if you’re vaccinated and test positive you aren’t immediately done olympics wise? Are they even they even testing fully vaccinated people?
Making time some time over course of 4 months to do the one thing that probably has the biggest impact on your ability to compete at the Olympics seems like it should be at the top of the priority list.
Her priority was competing at Roland Garros and Wimbledon. Even if she somehow cared about the Olympics as much as a major - which would be extraordinary for someone in her line of work - she wouldn’t have made the team but for multiple higher rated Americans withdrawing. The last time she was in the United States (and when the WTA gave out J&J shots) might have been literally right before she became eligible as a 17 year old. She’s been competing in Europe since then, and it’s not exactly a matter of taking an hour out of your day to go to CVS. A lot of people deserve shit for not getting vaccinated, but I don’t think Coco Gauff is on that list.
I want to know if she was vaccinated, breakthrough cases are a thing. the vaccine works so damn good there's undoubtedly vaccinated people all over the place who contract it but if they aren't in a position where they get a PCR test every day they very well may never know because of how the vaccine tends to make many breakthrough cases asymptomatic and usually at worst COVID is as completely indistinguishable from a bad cold.
Dont think so, but logical guess is at minimum anything and everything will be shown live on Peacock. This is NBC’s first ever showcase for their streaming platform.
I feel like a big part of US teams in the past just dominated the quick transition game, while here they are settling into shitty ISO situations
Opening ceremony is but you can stream it live first thing Friday morning. I assume this will be the case throughout
I don’t care how well Booker, Jrue and Middleton are playing. They’re gonna be wiped out. How can this team even medal if this is the Tatum and Lillard that show up in Tokyo? Dame is getting dominated by Rubio and Tatum is completely worthless.
If I read the ad correctly, YouTube tv allows you to watch all events live and record them to watch at your convenience
Based on this game tonight, it would appear Keldon Johnson is officially the future of USA Basketball
Yeah, if you have YTTV just search Olympics and select the first option titled "Olympic Games Tokyo 2020" then Add to library and it'll DVR every Olympic event across all the different channels.
I would've thought all women's tour players were vaccinated. Shit you'd think people would learn from NC State's fuckup but I guess not.
