God what a load of shit. Would’ve run it back anyway had Castano rightly gotten the decision. 117-111 is just corrupt, no way around it.
Castano won this fight. Anything other than a draw is bullshit. Behind 12 just ended. Will return after i am up to date.
Fucking boxing, man. What a joke. Run it back in 3 months with actual judges. Fucking stains a great sport.
Boxing keeps kicking it self in the balls. It wasn’t a draw but I can understand why some thought it was. But, the problem isn’t the draw it’s the 117-111 card and that’s what draws attention to the absurdity. Hopefully that makes sense.
The scorecards and judging aren't what is holding the sport back. The popularity of football has overtaken all American sports, lack of unified title, lack of charismatic heavyweight champ, decline in inner city boxing gyms, etc. Some say PPV hurt it but PPV hasn't hurt MMA
It's not a super sexy fight but Joshua is one of the best boxers out there right now, especially in the HW division, so I'll gladly watch it.
Don't think Usyk has ever been knocked down. As former cruiserweight belt holder is fairly impressive
I think he was knocked down buy Chisora, but I may be wrong. He's a good fighter, no doubt. He's just not really a heavyweight.
He went down once when he got hit below the belt but wasn't a legal knockdown unless I'm misremembering
I do expect Joshua to win but I really have no idea. The matchups make the fights and on top of the Usyk is kind of an unknown matchup. Feels weird calling someone 6'3 and 220+ small
Usyk can scrap for sure. The size difference and AJ's power are just likely going to be too much. Though if AJ comes in and fights stiff, flat on his feet, Usyk has the skills to outbox him.
