My office has an intern that remains unvaccinated and came directly into work last week from vacation. Didn’t tell anyone where he’d been, whether he’d been vaccinated previously, or that he was symptomatic. Now I have the Delta variant and I gotta say, this is the worst time. I want to end that mother fucker the next time I see him.
This is why I’m not going back into the office. I don’t give a fuck what they say. They are doing the “honor system” where the unvaccinated have to wear masks and the vaccinated can not wear them, but we aren’t doing anything to verify any of that outside of people anonymously taking a survey.
lol I work for the state university system in Florida. We can’t do shit about mask mandates without the state legislature threatening us. It’s all on the honor system. Got my 2nd Moderna shot in February. Had a little muscle soreness and stomach pain on Friday. Saturday morning, suddenly had my heart rate jacked up to 115+, temp to 102+, had a headache since then, only really been out of bed to shit my brains out and eat whatever bland food I could find, and had trouble breathing to the point that it woke me up every time I fell asleep Saturday.

Yep. I’ve sat up for about an hour today because laying in bed has made my neck unbearably stiff. My fever broke early this morning so at least my heart isn’t pounding and I don’t have to wear 3 layers to be warm now. No clue. Haven’t asked. They seem to have quietly phased that out in an effort to repopulate the office for the sake of it. I don’t understand what the purpose of mandating an in-person schedule is in light of recent news.

The president suggesting there could be consequences would definitely be seen as having a chilling effect. I don’t see how that’s even debatable. Just because the last president was a complete moron doesn’t mention this one is or should be.
