The NLU pod with Mike Keiser Jr was pretty interesting. Soly asked him about future projects or expansions and he said he didn’t want to steal his dad’s thunder for Bandon but he envisioned up to 8 courses at Sand Valley and also listed several places where they have projects in the works such as Florida, Colorado, and California. Also read on the NLU board that Gil Hanse was the front runner for the new Bandon course but that fell through
Congratulations! We are pleased to announce that your ticket application has been selected for the 2022 Augusta National Spoiler Women's Amateur Got it for 2020 and still pushing it forward. Looking forward to seeing the whole course and getting into the pro shop early. Should be better than DCP which I've been to previously. But still not as good as the real thing.
Womens Amateur is for sure the way to go if you have never been before. I went to first one and found it better than practice round. Course is in mint condition, have full access to grounds, and merchandise is at full inventory. And obviously an easier ticket to get.
After much reflection I’ve decided to withdraw my name from consideration for 2022 Masters Tickets…I’m completely happy with my current situation.
Never worn this stuff due to price. Is a Peter Millar polo actually any better than a Nike/Adidas/UA one I can grab on sale for 20 bucks?
I feel they are much higher quality than what those companies offer in at a $20 price point. You would have to get into the upper end of what they offer to compare
Well yea, I mean like the tour level offerings like DJ would wear on course. Nothing with an msrp of 20 bucks is worth wearing.
Nike's top of the line retails for $85ish. I'd rather spend an extra $9 for what I know is comfortable, fits well, and lasts. Not saying the others aren't good but I know PM is great
Started buying some Oakley stuff which is comfortable but I’ve been seeing rhoback as something to try. Best polo I have though is the volition one I have that gary woodland wore.
I have a lot of Nike/Adidas/izod golf shirts. All very nice ones worn by Brooks/Rory Dj/Morikawa or Leishman/louis during tournaments. Those brands just clearance out eventually so you can get the good stuff for like 25 bucks.
Peter Millars also fit nicely on the 10-15 pound overweight physique in my fat opinion. Quality is there. Pretty much all I wear now on the course
I bought a couple William Murray golf polos with some shop credit a couple weeks back. They are super nice and comfortable. Pretty spendy but the quality is worth it.
I usually wear UA or Nike polos, nothing cotton. Going to give this PM one a try. They sure love blues, or nobody else loves blue, cause that’s a lot of what was on sale.
I had been on a nice run of golf lately. A couple consecutive rounds the 60's at my home club, feeling good about my game. I shot a fucking 84 at The Honors today. Granted I was decently hungover and the course was really wet but it was absolutely absurd. Very humbling.
I can't give it a fair review because it was so wet and foggy. Some of the views and elevation changes are amazing. It's not a course I could play every day but would be a really fun stay and play with the guys. Course was in great shape and greens were lightning.
Lost mine on a bumpy cart path years ago. It was the cover that came with it and I just never replaced it. I also golf in haggar cool 18 or random $10 polos found at Ross Dress for Less, so I’m using that as an excuse for my poor 3 wood play.
