We were told late spring/early summer he'd gotten heavy and had slowed down a lot, but he was reportedly down like 20 pounds at our camp in June and looked solid. I don't know if that is the reason several of us stopped recruiting him for a bit, but that was part of the June camp report, that he "surprised the staff with the shape he was in" or some shit like that.
Neither are any good. Well, Nelson is good, just too slow. I expect Nelson to move down the rankings a large margin next update.
Both guys had windows to commit, Brubaker is a legacy. He worked out for the staff and then moved down the board following that workout and we prioritized other guys. Nelson is a really good player and we recruited him heavily for awhile, but he slid down the board due to speed concerns
Anxiously awaiting on3’s #1 2021 prospect. Seems like Caleb with his elite passing precision, Egbuka, Huard, and Vandagriff are the candidates or maybe some 3* Bama commit
Can we just not talk about this one? When it happens let's just forego posting anything about it. Thanks, recruiting thread.
Alright Prentice is sick as fuck, I'll fight over that one. With Pope... hard to spin a guy with like 40 "offers" playing at a perennial power going down then back up the rankings. He's accurately if not generously rated as is.
How's Caleb looked so far? They're very clearly basing their ratings over spring and summer hype, so I'm guessing Egbuka.
Murphy looked all but headed here early on, it seems like the change in defensive scheme to more of a 2 LB’er set without true inside guys changed things. I think he’d be great in Bama’s system.
Two of the top ILB'ers in the country are from Ohio, including probably the best one in Hicks. Pretty easy to understand why you can pass on a guy like Murphy this year.
OSU WR's and Bama edge rushers from the portal are probably going to be the hottest spot to recruit each respectively the next few years. I'm convinced we're both willing to sign 10 of them a class if it's the right guy.
