Anyone getting the vibe Seattle is kinda looking to tank this year? Honestly a pretty good move with the next couple drafts if they are
If we get to the broadcast of the draft tonight without Detroit’s pick leaking, we should be awarded Arizona’s forfeited pick.
Tricking Edmonton to pay for an overpriced defensemen so you can pay Seattle to protect an overpriced defensemen

Man that franchise is so brutal. I get those guys aren’t great, but it’s wild how transparent Eugene is about not spending money.
Imagine the amount of capital the sens could have acquired if they had been leveraging all their cap space the last few years
I don't understand the logic of acquiring a vanity asset like a sports franchise and then running it like you're broke.
francis drafted him and was in that organization for awhile. He’s a young player who none of us have seen a lot of but he must be very high on him to take him over bean. That is what he will get ripped for if the kid doesn’t pan out.
having a franchise with a terrible owner is awful, that’s also why I never believed that Quebec would get a team. The guy who was trying to buy a team would’ve been a complete disaster.
Many American professional sports franchises provide low risk, high profit business models at this point. Get rid of the revenue sharing and it will force these types of owners out.
maybe they didn’t want anyone and quenneville is being signed as an AHL guy. Got to build that team up also. Who could Chicago have wanted to protect badly enough to pay?
could just be as simple as Seattle looked at the garbage piles in Detroit and Chicago and were like "We really have to huh?"
seems like they did this with a bunch of teams. just take a cheap AHL/swing player and save the cap space.
doesn't Seattle need to meet certain cap requirements and have a certain number of people under contract for next season as well?
That’s why I assume they plan on being active in free agency. They’ve already been green lighted to spend to the cap if they want to.
But seriously, it’s pointless to ever take a Red Wings rumor seriously. Nothing leak out. It’s very impressive.
Like, I feel like it’s true based on what’s leaked. But then, it feels like a lot of beat writers have said the teams they cover aren’t making side deals.
Chicago's info seems off. I dont doubt its Quenneville. I just want to know the price Bowman put on Zadorov. Zadorov's RFA rights*
you think Eugene is pulling a lot of profit out of the franchise? I don't think it's appreciated in value all that much in the last 6-8 years either. there are better places he could park his money.
