Actually, I only refined what they said to.make it more specific I'm suggesting something very similar to the NFL schedule except removing the second game in diviosion and substituting a permanent cross over in place of that game against the team from another division that finished in the same place as you did the year prior
based on the Pod system in the SECN post Bama wouldn't play LSU every year. They would play them 2/4 years. Dbl's not wrong here.... that's what he said and it's true by that system
So 3 games vs. your POD One game against POD X perm rivalry + rotate 1 of other 3 in that POD each year Two games against non-rivalry team POD that rotate every 2 years? Not bad. Still beats what we have now in the SEC imo
I get it. But its amending the system in the graphic. With the permanent "other pod game" Auburn wouldn't host every team in the conference once every 4 years. Teams in Georgia's POD we would only host once every 6 years
Right, you're suggesting something completely different than what they posted. It's ok to admit that you didn't read their tweet and weren't aware I was saying I liked their pods.
We don't really need any threads for this on the public board. It's basically group masturbation, so put it in the group maturation thread on the donor's board.
The other pod games rotate yearly. Alabama would not play LSU every year in the scenario they posted. They'd play them twice every 4 years.
ok you win. JFC I did exactly what I said I wasn't going to do here The extant to which you are willing to go in order to be deliberately obtuse is absolutely amazing
You're the one being obtuse here. You clearly didn't read the tweet and just hit reply with your own scenario.
jeff is very concerned about the educational ramifications as he finishes up his new bill on why the kkk should be declared the official mascot for texas high school football
heard some state politicians tried to have a zoom call about the situation last night but unfortunately the entire state lost power
We used to play Georgia and Tennessee every year and seldom played Auburn before 1992. The LSU/Alabama game isn't really one of them, but there are a ton of interdivision "rivalries" that have sprung up since the first expansion and others that have been lost.
I have to imagine they'll at least try bending over and giving texas and ou even more of the tv pie. Sucks for the other schools, but its much better than aac or mwc tv deals.
The pod with Texas Arkansas OU and Mizzou is basically a dream pod for all Texas Arkansas and Oklahoma fans
Also if this pod system happens I am in favor of no permanent cross pod rivals. Playing each team every two years is fine and might actually make it a bigger event when you play those teams If Alabama only gets to play LSU every other year and only hosts them every fourth year how big of an event is that home game going to be?
Probably hurts because when Arkansas beats Texas I will be helicoptering my dick in front of all Texas fans that are within a 5 mile radius
Appreciate your commitment to modding through realignment, even though Kansas State will end up in the Sun Belt.
You’re making it more complicated than it needs to be. Odin has it right. Do away with divisions. Have your championship game like the Big XII did. Each team gets 3 protected rivalries and the other teams rotate on/off schedule every two years.
