Probably won't be any appetite to bring up ucf, but I wonder if they go for a different baby school like memphis
UConn's the wrong choice though and they're finally back in the big east for basketball so let's go with WVU
I'm no athletics admin but if it ends up with 16 team superconferences, staying out would have to be a financial mistake I'd think
I was thinking TCU or Baylor for the texas footprint But if ND did join, I wonder they could bring anyone along with them
fuck it, just add ND. three pods of five. play the other four in your pod every year, rotate five schools home-and-home every two years, your team gets to home-and-home the entire conference every four years, nine game conference schedule. Cuse/BC/Pitt/VT/UVA ND/UNC/NCSU/Duke/WF UL/CU/GT/UM/FSU
whoa whoa whoa we put ND in the fake ACC pod with the rest of the big east I can't live without my raycom sports tobacco road matchups
or pods of 4 ND, BC, Cuse, Louisville UVA, Va T, Pitt, WVU NCSU, UNC, Duke, Wake FSU, Ga T, Clemson, Miami
listen man, the other two pods are inferior states that won't survive the second Civil War, just shutup and go with it.

I mean it’s better than the addition of Pitt for sure going to bring a good football, basketball, and baseball program not to mention women’s Bball, rifle, etc. Plus the fan support will always be there. Much better fit for us geographically than what we’ve had to deal with in the big 12
hopefully the new guy is more proactive and competent than swoff when dealing with realignment we have some absolute duds weighing us down as a conference
is there a sizable pack contingent that kinda feels like a&m did with texas and wants to get out of the acc with unc for the sec?
Yes, there are plenty of morons who think SEC money and recruiting pull is the only thing holding us back from competing in football. Let’s ignore literal decades of ineptitude, playing UF, UGA, Bama, and LSU all the time is just what we need to get over the hump. Edit for clarity
i am assuming that we are tied to the hip and the state won't let one of us go without the other (or to be a tad arrogant, they won't let unc leave state behind) assuming that to be true, it sure would be nice if we saw the writing on the wall and tried to make a move before this ship sinks.
Honestly I think the ACC is in a decent position going forward. We don’t make the B1G/SEC money but as long as Clemson doesn’t try to leave (why would they?) I think the league is poaching rather than being poached over the next 5 years. That said I don’t see any chance either of the NC public schools leave the ACC as long as it’s even semi stable. Too much time and investment in the league and too many decision makers who have long term attachment.
PAC-12 is (or at least was) nearly bankrupt. But they get largely left out of realignment talks because none of their schools really make sense in other conferences.
ACC Family Money: Clemson Duke Florida State Georgia Tech North Carolina NC State Virginia Wake ACC New Money: Boston College Louisville Miami Notre Dame Pitt Syracuse Virginia Tech West Virginia Round robin football plus one cross-division rival and one cross-division game based on last year's standings. Basketball home and away in-division and rotating home/away cross-division (at the expense of bullshit non-conference games). Jim Phillips, invoice is in the mail plz remit within 30 days.
