Very much enjoyed my club champion putter fitting. They didn't even try to sell me anything, just fixed what I had even though it's garbage
Going to cross post this in Atlanta thread... Want to go to practice round at tour championship. Don't see tickets online. Am I just missing them?
FAQ section says they’re only selling tickets to the competition days. Could have been a COVID precaution or something along those lines to not allow fans at practice rounds https://www.pgatour.com/tournaments...ets/frequently-asked-questions-ticketing.html
Had to cancel the Streamsong trip scheduled for this fall stupid friend got his wife pregnant and she’ll be a few weeks from the due date at that point so he doesn’t want to fly anywhere that close All is not lost that week though, moved our honeymoon to Hawaii those dates and planning to play Kapalua
Wonder if they ever considered this tweet was in fact a bad idea. Replies are exactly what you expect
It’s crazy he’s actually in the fairway almost every hole and can’t break 100. His short game is beyond terrible.
The title of this thread hit a little too close to home given the email that I got earlier in the week. Well played boys.
He's had some rounds where his chipping was actually pretty solid. He loses a ton of strokes on the green, that round he left several puts 10 feet short which is just awful.
It’s fake man, I am telling you. I was watching and the nerdy fuck he plays with says it is the most successful video series in FP history. They are milking it for content.
I’m just trying to figure out when they were actually shot. Like it’s been brutally hot up here in the city, how are they playing with pants
They talk about on their podcast about not wearing shorts because of how their legs looks. I think they are recent.
He three putted 16 from three feet. He's clearly bad at both, but putting should be easier to improve.
The wife arranged for me to play a round of golf on Sunday with a couple friends. First time back out since she got sick. I feel a little guilty but she assures me she'll be fine and her sister is driving in to spend the day with her. Likely gonna hack but it'll be nice to chop it up with the boys.
Really feeling good about my game. Handicap has dropped from an 11.6 to an 8.9 over the last month thanks to an outrageous 74. Full of confidence. Of course, go out and shoot a 92 this morning and totally lose the ability to hit my driver all round. This game, man.
She's doing well, all things considered. Session 10 of 30 radiation treatments (M-F for 6 weeks) today. Her throat is starting to get sore, taste is changing in a bad way. Side effects are cumulative but we're hopeful that she won't need a feeding tube by the end. Potentially losing the ability to swallow is the most difficult hurdle with this treatment. Upon completion of radiation, we're told it can be a couple months before everything comes back to relative normal. She continues to take it head on and stay positive. Her mantra is "I can do this...I will get through this."
Thinking about you guys but I know you have the absolute best doctors treating it and she'll come out the other side of this. Amazing strength by your wife. I would not be so positive (if it were me in that situation I mean).
I'm assuming cancer? I'm not the praying type but pulling for her recovery. Good on you for being there for her
A whole lot to take in there. He and his family has been through some shit and that sucks. He needs some perspective though when it comes to his career. There's a shit ton of pro golfers out there grinding as hard as he is, for as long as he has, not on the Tour, and they don't even have the opportunities he does. Again, sorry for the family stuff but pull up your boot straps and make a cut, then make another and start having some fun again.
In 2019 the average player on tour earned $1.2 million, 112 players made over 7 figures. I hope he gets through his stuff but I think his assessment of the balance of $ on tour is misguided.
Average is not the right number to use when the top 10-15 guys earn crazy amounts of money. It’s not a super fun existence for guys outside the top 50.
There is a new tour about to start based on the premise that those at the top don't make enough money
I hear you there. But acting as if being a guy ranked from 75-175 on the PGA Tour is a glamorous lifestyle is disingenuous. You certainly have the opportunity to earn that type of lifestyle. But that position alone is very thankless.
Whatever the number for limited starts is. Beyond that, I’d be interested to see what percentage of players make it to the playoffs or Atlanta every year. Doing it once is not a career.
Life on tour is p sweet for top 125 I'll go with. Then you are making a million bucks. After caddy, travel, taxes, etc you are still banking six figures traveling the country playing golf.
I didn't really consider his money complaints. I do think the tour should probably have some sort of support system for young guys just breaking in. I imagine it's an easy lifestyle to get into trouble.
