I understand Arsenal are an easy target right now, but that first tweet is bullshit. Onana was never a real option for Arsenal. he's going to run down his contract and go wherever he wants on a free next year. and selling Emi Martinez was something Arsenal had to do. they don't have Partey without it and there weren't offers for Leno that we know of so one of the keepers had to go. all that said, spending 30M on Ramsdale is indefensible so fire away.
they didn’t have to sell emi. They had to sell emi or Leno. Plenty of people at the time thought that they should keep emi.
One of my favorite players to watch in the Bundesliga. He’s absolutely lights out phenomenal when he wants to be. However, he’s also a diva head case who rarely gives 100% and is quite prone to miss games with knocks.
I don’t think he would get in our best xi so probably best for him to stay at arsenal and develop for a couple of seasons
I genuinely can not determine the most embarrassing part of this picture... Is it that horrific fucking jersey that looks like it was designed in MS Paint? The wrinkled ass shorts? Is it those cheap ass looking balls that resemble a medicine ball you'd find at a Planet Fitness? The fact that Memphis is a Barca player?
You can argue they don’t spend well and that they’re cheap in other areas but you can’t argue that the glazers don’t spend money in the transfer market.
Andersen seems like he’s headed to Palace. Was one of the cheaper CBs Spurs we’re looking at. Toby leaving to Qatar means more than one full time CB needs to be bought. Paratici appears to like doing business earlier than later, a massive departure from Levy’s wait-til-the-dying-seconds-of-the-transfer-deadline-to-sign-players-no-one-at-all policy
2 very good CB signings. I didn’t think they’d spend money which they desperately had to with the turnover that was going to happen but they have and they’ve spent well with him and guehi.
yea they were in a great position with wide open books, Premier League TV money, and the rest of Europe poor like the Big 12. Manager probably worst component of their summer. But may work out.
I just had doubts that their owners would spend the money but spending this summer is smart. Especially on young players. When other teams finances balance back out, fees will go back up and the people who bought this summer will be in much better shape.
£12m for a 29 year old who’s played under 2000 minutes in the league in 3 seasons is good business for Liverpool. Not sure why anyone would pay that.
Tactical genius Pep has a plan for a player therefore talks are advanced. pep is probably the ~5000th best tactical coach in the game. What is his plan? Outspend everyone by a 10x margin and win trophies? Good plan I’m shocked it works
