The auto-assumption that someone who tests positive for COVID is an anti-vaxxer is fucking stupid and immature at this point. Breakthrough cases are rare but not so rare they don't happen. Especially with every new variant it seems, unfortunately. Quit being that douchebag on the internet who has to have the hottest and quickest take and wait for some factual confirmation on if someone was vaccinated or not before you label them. Treat others as you would like to be treated you fucks.
With Delta it will happen and continue to happen. We need to start accepting that. The cases will be more mold generally.
Yes it’s such a stretch that the guy who has Fox News on in the background of his social media videos could potentially be an anti vaxxer
Assuming he is still positive from June. Had a coworker who tested positive for several weeks. It can stick around for awhile on highly sensitive tests. Rahm has to be the safest person on tour to be around between having Covid and the vaccine all within the last 6-8 weeks.
Ahh. Didn't realize he had to test after receiving the vax. Crazy. He's had some tough luck. If he's asymptomatic, can't imagine he's contagious but who knows. Sucks.
Once positive he had to clear to get through PGA protocols regardless of vaccine https://www.golfchannel.com/news/jo...ared-us-open-after-two-negative-covid19-tests
lol of course Bryson is an anti vaxxer. There are many types of anti vaxx idiots. He is the “I’m smarter than scientists/experts” type. From the sounds of it, also a Fox News moron type. People contain multitudes, ya know
It's not a stretch at all. At the same time he's also a guy who believes in metrics, stats, and numbers. Those things, in the vaccine world all point to being someone who should believe in getting a vaccine. Point is, why jump on someone for getting COVID at this point without knowing for sure if they are vaccinated or not? Are those internet cool guy points that important? What if you have a breakthrough case and get COVID? Do you want people who think they know you to label you an anti-vaxxer without knowing for sure?
someone who believes in metrics, stats and science wouldn’t be watching Fox News. keep tone policing and finger wagging when people make fun of Republicans, though. It’s definitely not obvious or anything.
Yeah, that's it. Try to turn it to politics when defending asshole behavior. I'm one of the most outspoken people itt who's shown how much I despise Bryson so your tactics look ridiculous. I'm also not a Trumper or Republican not that, that has anything to do with what I was talking about. Swing and a miss on all accounts. Just try to be a better person please. Also...if you paid any regular attention to him or the PGA Tour you'd know that he's exactly what you described there.
Even if you remove politics he shares almost every anti-vax stereotype. Dude is a damn pseudoscience machine. Sure, he could have a breakthrough case after taking the highly effective vaccines, but the *much* more likely scenario is that like all aspects of his personality he just sucks and refused it.
I don't disagree with any of this. My point is, if you don't know for sure then why such a rush to bury someone, so to speak? What's there to gain? When it comes out that a person wasn't vaccinated and got it at this point then yeah, call em what you want. But if they were and just had bad luck then do you not care that you'll look like an uneducated asshole? The way things are going at this pace, there's likely going to be more and more breakthrough cases.
I think you’re taking a message board post neither Bryson or anyone he knows will ever see a little too serious.
The terminal velocity of his ball was just too high. He routinely misuses scientific terms trying to sound smart.
It's the same shit on any other social media site like Twitter. If it's a practice that's discouraged here or there or wherever then maybe people think a second before they post and that's one less potentially harmful thing in the ether.
The other side of that coin is also true, in his very public statement he could have clarified his vaccination status and encouraged others to get the shot regardless of breakthroughs, as some celebrities have, but chose not to. That will lead to people making assumptions.
If you remove politics from Bryson, he seems like he would be first in line for the vaccine given the competitive advantage and the fact he is so into science. But, unfortunately politics can cloud judgement. (I have no clue if he's vaxxed or not)
I think he has an interest in getting a decided schematic advantage (shoutout Charlie Weis) over his opponents and enjoys having the rep/brand of being the “smartest” guy on the course but I’m dubious of him being super into science in general. Like poor paul mentioned, it’s happened numerous times where things he says in interviews get debunked or corrected pretty quickly by actual experts.
Do we know how they officiate out there? Could see IOC rules officials being slightly different than perfect gentlemen club on PGA tour. Good news for PReed is no awkwardness with lack of clothing sponsorship in team USA issued gear.
Also, if an American wins Gold - it's not that big of a deal. If a Korean wins I feel like that would be massive for them and for the game in that country. Any nationalistic sentiment is on hold until late September anyways.
Ok guys I'm heading to vegas at the end of September 26th - 29th. Last time I rented clubs and played at a course well outside of town, which was a terrible idea. What course should I play and how should I go about taking my own clubs? If I take my own clubs, should I look into getting travel insurance?
IF all the golfers at the olympics wanted to sand bag it so those two could get out of military service I wouldn't hate it. But they'd have to play for silver and bronze because you know Preed wouldn't play along.
How often do you travel and play? A soft sided travel bag and the umbrella looking pole would set you back about 150
It's a little bit of a drive but I like the Paiute courses. Think all 3 are Pete Dye. https://www.lvpaiutegolf.com/
