Kept reading about how easy the 4th inning showdown was vs Mathewson, so I cranked it up and did pretty well through the missions...was down like 15-11 or something going into the final. Hit into about eleventy double plays...had a few perfect lineouts...and kept swinging at shit in the dirt. Lost 14-15. :feelsprettyfuckinbadman:
I can’t with this game. Don’t think I’ve raged as hard playing a game as I have this one. Due hits a HR with a terrible PCI, I square up 5 that get caught up against the wall. Just BS.
Yea the randomness of it is infuriating. 2k22 is like 6 weeks away and I'm looking forward to going back to it if it's better than 2k21.
same. I’m just tired of playing theses 9 inning pitcher duels where we only muster up like 4 hits and it comes down to one BS swing. Would be the equivalent of playing 2k and shooting 4/30 every game. The timing/hitting shit is absurd online.
I think they need more modes. Love playing some Events but when there’s an event I don’t like I feel like it’s lacking. I don’t want to play ranked for ultra competitiveness, I just want to hit some dingers and accumulate some stats. I feel like they’re missing a level, or option for a mid range player. I’d be fine with no rewards, just put me into some sort of tier structure that isn’t ranked but still let’s me actually have some fun.
I would love if they added a squad modes like they have in madden. I would enjoy this game so much more if I could play on the same team as a friend, kinda like super mega baseball.
I haven’t played madden in over a decade. I say that to say not trying to be a dick but tell me how that would work.
You ever play Super Mega Baseball? How they do it is one person is the pitcher the other person controls the fielders and you switch roles every inning. Then on offense you just alternate batters. For the team I believe in Madden you just choose what players you want from each players team to combine them into one team.
home run at Forbes field with 60 power Clemente one more stupid showdown and I’ll unlock Acuna and the inning program high diamond
yup, people have been complaining about that. they're calling lots of things "triple with an error" hilarious plate coverage too
Not sure there's any must have guys now, honestly. So many good cards, just try them out and see who you're good with. If anything, I'd look at adding a starter or two. Cabrera is still elite. I love Glavine too.
I almost exclusively use Rodon because I love his quick windup and pitch selections. But yeah, everyone is very very good now
Haven't tried him yet. If a pitcher doesn't have a cutter and sinker, I typically struggle. The 99 DeGrom is the outlier bc the 102 overcomes a lot. Glavine's sinker and circle change are great to tunnel with. Same with a cutter and slider with some guys. Look the same but different speeds and break.
Those 2-5 pitchers are pretty hittable online IMO. I love facing cliff and really any lefty that throws under 98mph. Guess it depends on what modes you play the most. If you don't play a lot of ranked or events then those SPs are good. If you play more ranked/events then I'd give Vida a shot at 125K. Peralta is baaad for a 99ovr / 300K Leiter is very meh for a 97 Same with Paxton Heard Prime Matt Harvey is pretty solid. I also struggled a little vs. Greinke's event card and it's not too pricey.
Only card on my radar to buy that's currently out there is that BR Bryce. Going off the reddit thread on that card (and any time I saw his LS card early in the game) he's got a pretty glitchy swing. Attributes on most of the elite batters the rest of the game are going to be in the same general ballpark. Gonna boil down to which guys have swings that hit better than others
Decided to play a rookie CPU game at Shibe to test out my new team and see what they can do. Perfect game with 24 Ks, 17-0 win with 12 HRs Would do again
Is it worth buying the 4th inning bosses today in hopes they go up with the inning being over tomorrow?
And did my 2nd conquest last night. Needed 3 HR with RF so used Acuna, Gallo, and Judge in years OF and got it in 2 games. I guess you can just load up your roster with whatever you need for player programs and play 75 3 inning games on rookie if you want to? I only play the 5 and sim'd the others but can't you play all of them for programs and parallel?
