I was a hell of a swimmer and had a good arm. I feel like I missed my calling not playing water polo. I’m going to just assume I could have been an Olympian in it. Makes me feel better Couldn’t last 30 seconds if it tried it now
mine remains pole vaulting. I'm convinced I'll crack my skull upon my first attempt. rings I can at least grab it and hang on to it and not die.
Normally don't watch a ton of gymnastics before the finals but my daughter is obsessed with it. She's 3 and has been doing gymnastics for about a year and she can't get enough of Simone. She was supposed to go to the pool today but it's raining. Normally she'd be sad but this morning she said "That's OK, we get to watch Simone instead!" She's currently doing rolls on her mat in the living room between Biles routines.

I’d like to see handball become bigger in the us. We should start by holding a NFL, NBA, NHL, and MLB all star tournament. Either league vs league, or mixed teams.
I get out of breath watching water polo. Would 100% drown if forced to try and play a whole match (or however long a starter typically plays, don't know the sub rules).
It's been pretty cool seeing him watch his first olympics and in a way it works out it happened when he's 4 and not 3. He understands more. But he's never seen most of these sports so he's pretty glued to it. "Show me other sports!!!" was the demand last night. He doesn't necessarily understand the whole country thing but he is definitely asking all sorts of questions on sports. He really liked water polo.
I was able to get my 11 year old son to watch women’s beach volleyball last night. Not sure what kept his interest Spoiler it was the bikinis
I've already decided that I will be taking my then 7 year old to LA for the olympics. I went with my dad to Atlanta in 96 at the same age and it was one of the best experiences of my life.
If I'm still stuck in China in February (read: quarantine to return is still in place), I'm certainly going to try my best to attend in Beijing. No idea what that might look like for 老外, but I'll give it the ol' college try.
Japan and China table tennis has been incredible pulling hard for Japan since China has won like 28 of 32 possible golds ever in the sport
so in an already cursed dutch olympics dutch BMX favorite was tackled by an official on a training run and has fucked up his knee. Hell try and go but think his chances to win are gone
might as well have. Standing mid track straight after a jump during a practice session is nuts, Kimmann broke his fucking kneecap with that shit
it really sucks. This were supposed to be our best olympics ever but with this stuff and the entire rowing squad having covid scares its starting to look tragically awful
