I’ll put Dark on while at my desk on Wednesday mornings just to listen to Taz and Excalibur. The best duo in the biz.
The GCW show I was supposed to go to was rescheduled for 9/2. Guess I gotta make sure my tickets are still good.
Over the next couple of months, AEW will (probably have): - Hangman completing a two-year story and winning the title in front of the first PPV with an arena crowd in 18 months - Punk returning after 7 years, in Chicago - Mox v Fucking Tanahashi - Malakai Black in-ring debut - Bryan Danielson debuting in NYC - FUCKING JUVIE
Why are you so sensitive... and yes this is coming from me. Being negative about something AEW isn't some endorsement of WWE. Jesse has been very anti WWE in the thread. But I think we have reached the point where we can call out the shit AEW does produce at times.
Man, tonight was so much fun with my six year old. AEW is the fucking best. Go see them in person if they are anywhere in your area.
Loved this week's Dynamite, especially the first hour. Show is on a roll and I hope the rating reflect that. I was more excited to see Tanahashi than to get the hint hint confirm of CM Punk.
We’re getting Ace v Mox, the only question is when. Tana (Da Gawd) is doing the NJPW LA show in mid-August, maybe it’s a Dynamite main event, maybe he hangs around for All Out. All I know is that when he came out for the Dallas G1 show, I had a comforting feeling. Like, everything is OK. Tana is here to solve all you problems. Also, check out his pecs.
It's not my cup of tea but I appreciate the variety of styles AEW allows. Also this feels like a Jericho retirement tour, especially now that Juventud Guerrera is coming in for a match. I wouldn't be surprised if Lance Storm is the final opponent
Gage fucked up hugely when he robbed that bank, but by all accounts he has totally changed his life around so getting out of prison. Plus, as violent as he is in the ring, he’s clearly trusted by guys like Mobley for whatever reason, so he must be doing something right. IMO he’s less of a danger to society than the Uso who has been arrested twice for DUI’s that still gets to headline shows on Fox.
Also, one of the final challenges needs to be MJF putting together a tag match where Jericho can only partner with someone not on the roster, setting up a Thrillseekers reunion with Lance Storm. Or better yet, MJF says when Jericho went to Sturgis, he made himself some enemies. And then he has to wrestle a handicap match against the racist Harris Twins as Skull and 8-Ball.
Some things that surprised me from a live perspective and I'm not sure how it came across on TV: 1) People did not like Cody. He was booed heavily even before Black came on the screen. Black was then cheered like a huge face. 2) Miro got a huge face reaction when he came out to cut a promo on Elevation. They are going to have to turn him soon. He is just too awesome in this current character to boo. 3) The pop for Thunder Rosa was up there with anyone on the show. The rematch of her and Britt will be big when they get there. 4) If the crowd sounded dead in spots it was because we were all almost dead from heat strokes. It felt like 90 degrees in that place all night. 5) Justin Roberts works his ass off to keep everyone engaged throughout the show.
Thunder Rosa pop definitely came through on TV. Cody needs to go full heel, everyone already doesn't like him.
