Yes, generally insurance is supposed to cover COVID tests but there's been a lot of discussion about how people are still getting billed for them. I think the point he's trying to make is "surprise billing" is probably why a lot of uninsured people are wary of anything health related being free.
Ya I pay $75 out of pocket for my rapid tests, results within an hour kind of thing. The PCR test gets covered by my insurance but can't remember if they pay 100% or not.
Our local urgent care has been wrapping free covid tests into a simultaneous doctor consultation, so the test is free but the visit is not.
I loved getting a free test in May 2020 then to quarantine and wait for the results for 8 days to find out it was negative. Can’t see doing that again.
If I’m guessing by my acquaintances I’d say college educated is 80-90% and high school educated is very low
We were supposed to start coming in 3 times a week next week. Got told to be WFH all next week. We will see what the next update is.
Just got myself tested a little while ago, so we'll see what comes of it. The past 24 hours I've had a pretty consistent headache. Not excruciating, but persistent with pressure. I also had a pretty upset stomach a couple days ago that kind of came out of nowhere. I normally have a pretty iron stomach, so it was weird. Wife said her stomach has been pretty shitty today as well. We're both double Pfizer gang, so regardless it's probably not a huge deal but we'll see what comes of it. I still have my 7 y/o who is not vaccinated, so we've been trying to avoid her getting this shit.
Yea, hopefully it's some other bullshit. I've also been a little low grade nauseated for a couple days now, but never like on the verge of throwing up. My kid starts 2nd grade on Monday, so I wanted to make sure we shouldn't be quarantining her the first few days of school or something. I would hate to send her to school the first day and have her spread that shit everywhere right off the bat.
Yeah I wouldn't be taking any chances right now, but I don't feel like I've heard of nausea being a common symptom.
I really think it's stress and anxiety. Work has been crushing my world lately and I'm overwhelmed. The only thing that made think I should get tested is that my normal Xanax RX didn't knock it out. I also normally take Zyrtec every day and haven't for the past 5-6 days because I ran out. Wondering if it could be withdrawals from that and/or sinus pain.
The stress and anxiety caused by the assholes who won't get vaccinated allowing this pandemic to continue is real.
This is a big part of it, yes. Sending my 7 year old into a school system where masks are not mandated while she still is unable to get vaccinated.
I hate that the network is based in San Diego. A hive of lies and disinformation in my beloved town. So disappointing.
Never waited more than 3 hours for a result from a rapid test from Walgreens. Sometimes get the results before I get home.
Yes, when we should be done with this and I would like my kids to go to school without masks this year, but instead we're ramping back up and they're going to end up being cannon fodder to capitalism.
Anyone else noticed this strange phenomenon I cannot quite wrap my head around: People wearing their masks incorrectly post lifting of the mandate? I’m seeing folks with masks around their chins, not covering noses, etc..Just makes no sense to me and I’m seeing it everywhere I go.
We get results for a rapid test in 15 minutes, so unless someone is in a rush to leave right after they finish collecting the sample, patients get results before they leave the clinic.
“We wanted to wait just one year from the release to see what effects people had, but there was never any intention to not get it,” DuPreez said. That is a decision she said she will always regret and has now gotten the shot along with their oldest child.
ya, you should have breh. Sorry to those kids, that's awful. But holy fuck, this vaccine is free and it would take about 30 combined minutes to get 2 shots at this point.
A) That isn't how it works. B) People who say that will still not get it after a year. Because they will still be alive and feel like they don't need the vaccine. And the "long term effects of the vaccine" cannot be evaluated over a mere 12 months. Send stories like this to all the vaccine hesitating people you know. The thought of dying with regret that you didn't get a simple fucking shot at your grocery store is embarrassing.
given my mother time to not be the one family holdout on the vax. too long in fact. sitting her down this weekend and telling her to get the shot before my daughter is born next month or she doesnt see her until she gets it. i have been dreading this conversation but its time. wish me luck folks
Especially because she’ll need more than a month to have full immunity. Good luck on that conversation
ty my dad and aunt are both fox news idiots and they have it and have been on her about it. my maga adjacent BIL got drunk one night and told her he would teepee her house if she didnt get it (???). so its not like she hasnt been getting it from both sides i will probably just lie and say it is orders from the doctor so its out of my hands anyways
yeah its probably been put off too long but between having at least one dose plus the antibodies the baby will have through my wife being vaxxed, i will feel more comfortable overall. should be a real blast
they won’t do it but Florida Public schools should probably delay 2 weeks since they start so early compared to other States , gives the wave more time to run it’s course
