if you think rogan is a net negative on society the logic of supporting him being bad is pretty solid i don't really find ethical consumption arguments that coercive, but when it's in this fashion (just pure ideological laundering) i find it a little more rational than like not buying sneakers because they're all made with global south labor.

shockingly, everything is political. Reagan wants to institute some kind of physical fitness standard for kids: this is good! Arnold wants kids to work out: this is good! Michelle Obama wants our kids to eat healthier: what a bitch! It's not that Republicans are against kids being healthy. It's that they are against Michelle Obama, and don't actually have any set moral standards, they just blindly like one side and hate the other side. At the end of the day, the truth matter. Being healthier makes you....healthier. That doesn't change base don weather Republican's mononically attacked Michelle for making kids healthier or not. So...they are right. Fat people are less healthy than not fat people. People who exercise are more healthy, people who are not diabetic, etc.
