Lol y’all are more than welcome to go back to being that. Destroying the big12 I get. Kinda. The big 8. Gtfo
Y’all chose to destroy your rivalry with ou. Not us. Have fun being in the freedom division or whatever.
Why would CBS bid on the NFL regular season…if the NFL is just going to hand it over to FOX for the Super Bowl?
um, that’s literally not what happened. The rivalry game was not every year once the Big 12 happened and was a huge, contentious point for Nebraska at the time but OU was getting their ass-kicked at the time. Just like we tried to do this year because we are going to get our ass kicked.
The correct answer. Similar but Vegas wins because of the significantly higher number of regrets in the air.
On the SW tip, one of the times I realized that there are folks living a different life experience than me, that happens on almost every flight, is someone boarding and asking where their seat is/telling someone that "I think you're in my seat" as they try to sit on the seat that matches their boarding number.
This presupposes that ESPN would not have rights to the Big Ten or Pac12 going forward. But we were just talking the other day that expectation is ESPN will still bid, even increase their big, for portion of B1G rights.
They will. Unless ESPN has the idea they want to split the SEC into their own league, they will play ball with the rest of the country / conferences. This is just posturing.
Definitely. I think it makes sense the PAC/B1G, which have tier 1 rights owned by FOX are concerned by ESPN owning the playoff and playoff model. It also makes sense from their perspective to drag their feet on reform until it can be re-bid, potentially by fox or others so it’s not handed to ESPN on a silver platter. Now more than ever it seems clear the networks are driving the bus on expansion.
https://www.texasmonthly.com/arts-entertainment/college-football-texas-conference-proposal/ The proposal for Baylor, TCU, and Tech is to create a new, Texas-only conference with all the other Division I FBS schools in the state. This would be: Baylor, TCU, Tech, SMU, Houston, Rice, UTSA, UTEP, UNT, and Texas State. Of course, many of these teams were in the old Southwest Conference together, but Rice, TCU, SMU, and Houston were left out of the initial formation of the Big 12. This could right those wrongs and add other Texas teams.
We used to put out graphics like these when we were in CUSA and trying to get an invite to the big East. Disney World was always heavily featured.
It’s also obvious that Ohio State AD Gene Smith believes that Big Ten Commissioner Kevin Warren is in over his head. Smith was quoted earlier this week, stating Warren wasn’t a finalist for the job as put forth by the panel of Big Ten AD’s who vetted candidates. The ESPN quote is another shot across the bow. The conference needs to act a lot more proactively on its media renewal.
It’s a great place to visit for a game. Evanston has a nice college vibe despite being located so close to the city. Easy train access to the stadium and campus, then you have everything Chicago has to offer for entertainment/restaurants.
Facility will be underwater soon, but they probably don't even believe in global warming They're unaccredited, after all
Maybe my point wasn't clear. I fly sw almost exclusively for companion, service, and better airports. Every flight there is a passenger though who has somehow never heard of the SW seating system. It surprises me every time.
