"lovingly cared for by the original owner" - only thing updated were the TV's in the 90's and that Christmas throw pillow on the couch. And 100% sure that propane tank out back is empty and the grill is just for show. But it is a nice bar.
Not your typical McMansion but it is $169,000,000 (nice) and it comes with an HOA that runs $24k/month. Them views tho! 96th and top floor of a Park Ave luxury condo building. https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/...utm_medium=referral&utm_source=zillowgonewild
Google search 432 Park Avenue Problems I got nervous at the top of the WTC in 1993 because of wind sway, can't imagine what it's like in that thing
Oh shit...my dude Ryan Serhant is the broker selling it. Therefore we'll likely see it next season on MDLNY. cc: Fran Tarkenton Boo MFer! Dr. Richard Cranium webbi backinblack23
Few times a year I'll see him mentioned on Wall Street Journal Real Estate section stories. Altmans, Frederick, etc too, but mostly Serhant
So they don’t have to pay their own homeowners insurance? I figured if you bought it you pay for the insurance
I’m sure a building like that has some insane gym, pool, restaurant, spa type luxury facilities that require fairly large upkeep as well
i read an article on it they have a restaurant ran by a michelin star chef. each resident had to spend $1200 a year at the restaurant. they recently raised it to $15,000 the rich people are quite mad about this development
Condos are different. Usually the owners will have "walls in" coverage that covers the contents of the condo. There's a master policy that will cover the structure/common areas. It can get pretty convoluted if there's major damage. Edit: Part of your HOA dues cover the structure/common areas insurance. You're still on the hook for your contents. Not sure if that was clear.
Hack the real estate market by not hiring an architect, using only surplus construction materials, and doing your own labor.
My first thought was just by the first picture it looks like some of the weird lakehouses around here that started as like one bedroom cabins and have been added on to about 20 different times over the past 50 years
Why build when you can get a historic mansion in Detroit... https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/799-E-Grand-Blvd-Detroit-MI-48207/2086484171_zpid/
what I love about this more than anything is that it’s put on Zillow as if the billionaires are updating their Zillow day-to-day to look for a $100+ million dollar home 1300 feet up in the air in one of the most unique residential skyscrapers on planet fucking earth.
Surely there’s been some advancements in engineering in the intervening 50 years between when the WTC and that building were constructed. The Wiki page says it has five 2-story cutouts spaced among the floors (you can see them in the pics), as well as tuned mass dampers at the top and in the cutouts to reduce sway.
Agreed it’s strange it wasn’t privately listed, but that’s not how Zillow works. The site just aggregates public listings; everything that hits the MLS finds its way there, doesn’t require the seller to intentionally post it on the website itself.
