Soooo hot damn this is great. Suuuuuuper violent but only four 25m episodes, however renewed for S2 already with double the episode order. Maybe because I just got done playing Witcher 3 but this world reeled me in rather quickly.
Whoa. The only anime movie I've seen is vamp hunter d, but I liked that. Similar vibe for those who have seen both?
Knew it was anime going in, and I hate anime, but I went in with an open mind because it's Castlevania. Finished it off unsatisfied. Not sure if I will watch season 2. Don't get why animated stuff has to be one of either cartoons or anime. Is there not one artist in the world that can draw something adult oriented that's not anime (or a cartoon like Family Guy).
Watching it now. It's good. It's not like classic anime. It's more like a movie script and anime animation.
To me it wasn't really anime. Anime is like Japanese style shit. This was like a fantasy movie that was animated.
Never saw any of those. Just saying I normally hate anime but this wasn't like the things I've seen in the past.
Was disappointed after the 2nd episode that it was only 4 episodes. Other than that I loved this, can't wait for season 2, while googling I found out they are already in production
Have heard great things about S2 It’s on my list. Should be easy to get through given the shorter episodes
So hang on. No posts about season 3 or 4 here? Holy shit. This was maybe the greatest love story I've ever seen. I did NOT think an animated series about fucking Castlevania could make it so goddamn dusty in here. The writing. The characters. I mean, how did they make every single goddamn character so 3 dimensional? I'm going again.
Great show. Supposedly there's a spinoff of some sort in the works with the current storyline completed.
Show was so good, had to go back and finish Castlevania: SOTN game. One of the best parts was about the million different ways that Trevor, Sypha, and Alucard killed demons and vampires.
I've watched this series over the last couple of weeks. it's fine but i don't love it like a lot of people do. definitely very gory but i have literally zero understanding of the castlevania lore. greta, a cool s4 character, is voiced by the actress from White Collar who played Diana. it's taking me out of it a little bit.
I remember seeing this got canceled a while back but didn't want to google too much to avoid spoilers. Is it still worth watching?
It didn’t get canceled, it concluded. Up until recently it was the best animated thing on Netflix original to them as a content provider. Well worth the watch.
Attack on Titan is pretty good. I haven’t watched the Zeus one that I believe is from the Castlevania creators. At least the animation looked the same to me.
Zeus is good. Attack on Titan if I’m not mistaken was not original Netflix content. Maybe it was. I wasn’t a member in 2013 when it came out. It’s a great anime though.
Thought I saw somewhere that Netflix was cutting back on all its animated stuff with their recent stock dip glad to see this made the cut
on rewatch number 2340823408 s2 ep 7 first 10min and then the follow up entrance during s4 ep 9 are still so fucking awesome
Had I been Hector I'd have been willing to betray Dracula at the drop of a hat if it meant the opportunity to dedicate my life to her and her cause. So sexy
