I have been thinking about that movie and smiling all morning. The “who’s Milton?” Scene at the end was absolutely incredible.
what’s crazy is I had the same reaction when I noticed some random running around with the SS in an earlier scene. Then it paid off LOL
Laughed my ass off most of the movie. Lots of action, didn't take itself too seriously, overall just tons of fun. Wife was ragging on it at first and by the end was like "yeah that was entertaining"
Yeah at a point, me and my girl were like: “who’s this fat guy that’s with them?” it’s like the Chapelle bit where he talks about circling back around to a joke. Just brilliant comedic filmmaking. It’s seriously one of my favorite comic book films of all time.
I don’t fanboy much over either although I tend to absolutely despise MCU movies and just not watch DCU movies. I feel like we’re gonna get this opinion a ton from MCU fanboys who went in trying not to enjoy this movie.
Not a fanboy of course be over another. Enjoyed the Long Halloween parts 1-2 more than any live action Marvel or DC movie that’s come out this year.
It was fun. Little too long. Just bonkers overall. Elba was a solid addition. Glad they didn’t make Harley the main focus. Really wanted more Rooker. Spoiler Heard Cena might be going a spin-off
I did feel like this one was much brighter than the first one which I appreciated. Spoiler Especially in the Harley escape scene Hard pass.
Damn yall talk about so much random shit. Can someone direct me to this new batman/superman series news?
Idris Elba said he wants to do a Superman prequel that explains how he ended up in prison. James Gunn said he wants to do a SS vs Superman sequel I would be on board with either of those
The Suicide Squas game seems to basically be the second thing. But I'd still like to see Gunn's take on it. I would love to see what Taika could do but his dance card is pretty full. I know he's got his Star Wars movie sometime soon.
what a great movie also thematically a huge change of pace for super hero movies and blockbusters in general
Good but not great, really enjoyed it. Felt it sort of fell flat at the very end. With a different super villain it could have been a top tier super hero movie
Supposedly leaks from The Batman test screens are out there and it's really fucking good. also 3 hours
A test screening happened this week. WB was trying to keep it under wraps. Sounds like the audience loved it. Some crazy knee grabbing edge of your seat scene toward the end of the movie. Apparently sets up for the sequel nicely.
Death knell for the movie IMO. No way can WB let us get too dark of a DC movie, especially one where the main character is the main character because his parents were murdered in front of his face. Can't affect the toy sales
Finally we're going to get a Batman origin story. I hope they tell us where he comes from and what motivated him to become Batman.
