Seems Cheese at Redrocks had a big outbreak/tracing back to it. be safe out there, but we will probably see cancelations soon.
Fourteen cases so far across all three nights. Not great but not sure I’d call it a big outbreak yet.
Yeah, some places are starting to require it. Saw today where Faucci thinks full FDA approval is a couple weeks away. Also says he predicts vaccine mandates once that happens. We shall see
I don’t even know how to describe from Twist on. That’s about when I made my post and then they just found their groove and wow.
All I’m asking is for something life changing at the gorge. Don’t really think that’s too much to ask
Last night was amazing. One of best shows of the tour. Was starting to regress back to some 3.0 tendencies but we are back on track now.
This tour reminds me a bit of 2.0 in that you may not get the tightest playing each night and there’s some real sloppiness at times, but you’re nearly guaranteed to get 1-2 next level jams per show. Big fan of the setlist construction too.
Yeah, I almost expect a 20+ min jam in 2nd set every night now. That’s crazy after where we came from. And not long jams just to do it which meander around and never go anywhere. There is legit jaw dropping new stuff I’ve never heard Phish do happening semi frequently.
Trey’s tone might be my favorite it’s been since 99. Those train wreck amps are something else. Also, once Mike figured out whatever was going on with his bass, stuff really took off.
Yeah, Trey’s tone is sooooo good. And as much as I derided him for not really playing his guitar in ‘18 and ‘19, he’s back. It’s good to know his fingers actually still do work and have some dexterity left. Go listen to the llama or Dust from Hershey if you have any doubts. So true on Mike also. Always been unique in the way that you can hear every note he plays with clear definition. Kindof his calling card. Early in tour he just sounded muddled and more blended into the sound. Didn’t feel like it was Mike playing with them. Think he’s got it worked out though.
Guess the red rocks show may have some more spreading. https://jambands.com/news/2021/08/1...kYb6wspFNn7U6LkHQPck2ea4P6On2V0YJ7XzabeNSp42A
Bought the whole weekend stream. Lets do the damn thing. Sucks they shut down the stream sharing. Every man for himself these days.
Nice. At some point pre-pandemic they made a change and it would kick you off if more than one got on. Maybe they dropped that or got lax on it this tour. I’ll give it a try. Thanks for the heads up.
Super short first set. When Trey started with the “thank you, we’ll be right back” the rest of the band looked shocked. Somebody had to take a shit.
2nd set started strong but then Trey just would abort every jam to go into a new song. Felt more like 3.0 as someone mentioned the other day.
Goddamnit I knew they’d play YEM tonight. Pretty much no chance they play it again at the gorge. I’ve seen phish about 50 times and have only managed 2 yems. Praying they don’t play pebbles tonight and save it for the gorge
I’m sure you’re right in regards to the greatest hits, of which YEM is certainly one. I just have extremely bad luck when it comes to that song. Can’t even tell you how many times it’s been played the show before the one I’m supposed to go to. Here’s hoping
I’ve seen 7 YEMs in 40 shows. But I never really got that feeling I was searching for until Baker’s Dozen #13. Everything came together in that moment and the payoff was worth the wait. MSG exploded.
The Magnaball YEM was special for me. It was my second one, but came at a huge moment at the very end
I think Big Something is closer to that comparison. Jamband Pearl Jam with a space flute and occasional sax
Was watching their Denver show whilst baked and a few songs sounded like them. So yeah I wouldn’t take that post too seriously
I fell ya. My love for Goose is well known here. I thought maybe because lyrically Goose is really strong. Rick is an amazing song writer
For Nugs concert purchases on video (I think it was $30) are they supposed to be VOD where they expire? Or do I own the video? It said when I opened it, it would expire in 48 hours, but I can still access it a week later.
8/1/21 Tweezer 26:00 min mark until the end is fucking incredible. I still can’t quite believe I experienced it. When Trey starts his little exploring lines at 27:58 its the moment when I officially knew. I knew it was great already up to that point. But that was the signal that we are bringing it home. And the ending of a mega jam is so important to cement it. And it was an awesome dance party ending instead of typical 3.0 peak. I love this jam so much.
Man, I know Goose is getting a lot of love but type two champions go to Spafford right now. Despite their boards sounding really shitty on nugs recently, they are really getting out there and spanning realm of ambient to dance to rock. Opened their Atlantic City show with 16 minute jam. Check it out.
