Just got back from Levitt Pavilion. Really cool place for a concert. What tickets did you get for February Corch? So far I’ve got Goose, Billy Strings and MMJ upcoming at Mission
How to find reliable AQI measurements? https://www.iqair.com/us/usa/colorado/estes-park Says it's terrible there, other sites say it's fine Want to head up and take Dierks swimming, I assume it will be packed?
Getting some pizza alley tonight Thoughts on work and class / super mega bien? Thinking of taking the fiancé there (either place) for her bday
Both look pretty damn good I’ll have to try Pizza Alley. I get Pizzeria Locale all the time and guess I’ve never noticed that across the street.
I think Basil Doc's or Pie Society are my favorite pizza places in Denver. Ian's is great too it's just not terribly convenient.
a big pizza alley pizza and their fried wings are amazing on a CFB saturday. Ian's is good if drunk and near that area of town. I rotate the Well, Sexy Pizza, and Pizza Alley in LoHi. Some great pizza all over town. often can't go wrong
I had Basil Docs on Saturday and it was fine, but not sure I’ll get it again anytime soon. Ian’s is good. Pizza Alley is next on the list now.
The single best sandwich in the world can be had at El Trompito Taqueria on 70th next to Pecos. Get their namesake, the trompitorta, and report back. As is the case with all top-level sandwiches, the trompitorta comes with multiple versions of pig.
Jumping on this train and recommending La Filette's cuban sandwich. French bakery near Colorado and 8th.
Love that park. I’ll take a camp chair, cooler of beer, and Bluetooth speaker and just soak in the rays and watch people play volleyball. Quite fun
I wish I lived closer to Washington Park rather than Sloan's. I assume Smith's Ditch is fine for dogs to wade in. Moving spring water?, sandy bottom filter, not terribly warm, asked other owners there and they said they've never heard of or had problems with their dogs in the water, and I found this: Some parents worry about water quality in the ditch, particularly because the city switched to using recycled wastewater in 2004. But that water is purified to a high standard, according to Ty Schmittel, a facility manager with Denver Water. First treated at the utility’s York Street plant, the recycled water is further purified at the `Dechlor Plant’ to one notch below drinking water. Does anyone know otherwise?
The absolute worst food - without exception, no exaggeration whatsoever - I’ve ever paid for in my entire life, but my kids couldn’t get enough of the “cliff diving” and arcade, so I guess it was a fair enough deal. Glad it’ll survive in some form, I suppose.
Appreciate it. So far it's been Washington Park, Sloan's Lake, some walking around here and there, went for a long drive to Estes Friends are the second priority after acclimating Dierks so I can do everything else
I went to Tap Fourteen for happy hour and there's a lot of new restaurants between downtown and the highlands on the north side.
It is football pizza, so that’s probably the proper review, although some nights are better than others. Speaking of pizza, i did some hops and pie and local 46 last night. fun.
Kinda coming in at the tail end of hiking season, but that just gives you something to look forward to heading into next May. Glad you are enjoying it. Maybe take the pup to Highland farmers market and grab some palisade peaches tomorrow
Decided to do this. Will probably try to go first thing when they open next time because it was hot+packed just now.
Just went back and reread a few pages because I can’t remember if I asked if anyone has a butcher shop they recommend. But was just thinking about how many people ask for recommendations and then I always wonder where they ended up/what they thought.
