Sometimes your mid goes 0-5 in lane vs Tinker https://www.dotabuff.com/matches/6111231874 and sometimes your riki goes 34-0. https://www.dotabuff.com/matches/6111508554
not sure if we even have dota players anymore but there was a huge patch today and they gave tinker free bots wow
Haven’t played in weeks, might jump on for patch idk. Haven’t had time with summer stuff. Did hop on and see this unintended Meepo Aghs shard bug though. Hilarious.
Dazzle: Base Agility reduced from 21 to 20 POISON TOUCH Now only refreshes its duration when Dazzle attacks the target Base slow increased from 14/16/18/20 to 16/18/20/22 Now increases its slow by 2/2.5/3/3.5% every time it's refreshed
I don't follow as much anymore, just watch the tournaments. This patch going to shake up for the meta for TI?
Oh yeah Patch is so big teams are basically going to start from scratch. iirc Zai once said that on Secret when they knew a big patch was imminent they wouldn't even scrim for the last month or so of the old one because it would hardly matter anymore.
cr1t on stream just said he doesn tthink the patch was that significant (no map changes, no changes to stacking+power farming, still just tons of fighting) and he thought Valve was doing that to ensure that chinese teams do well at TI
Why would they want China to do well specifcally? I saw the thing about an extra neutral item per tier, guess that's fairly big. But we can expect more of the same characters per match?
Nine in the ESL tournament just picked KOTL mid and destroyed the game. had alch-level farm. went triple null, BoTs, dagon, blink, octarine and just ran around and farmed the entire map and bursted everyone. crazy build. i tried KOTL mid last week in turbo (trendsetter innovator here) and it, uh, did not go well
My Medusa winrate is pretty solid. Seems the key is to just avoid fighting at all costs for the first 15min and delay getting your ult until then.
Played very sparingly in last 3 weeks. Omni 5 is completely busted and OP. Stand behind carry and just W your carry and heal as needed, ult at start of fight. It’s like the old school Omni 5 when the hero still had repel and you’d just give your carry and extra 5 second bkb every fight and have a 60% pub win rate for almost a year straight. the 50% status resist and all that Hp regen is arguably better than bkb, makes the enemy still cast spells on carry but status resist makes them half as effective. this strategy still requires you to have a competent carry, but at my bracket usually 1 of the carry or mid is competent. I think I’m like 3 wins from Ancient. Loss streak coming.
TI is in a couple of weeks Aster's entire team has COVID, including support staff Rumors tonight that Micke is standing in for Ceb for OG
so TI is in a few days this was posted on reddit and blew my mind. game additions since TI9: - Neutral items added - Shrines removed - Side shops removed - 4 heroes (Void Spirit, Hoodwink, Dawnbreaker, Snapfire) added - 5 couriers, auto-purchased courier, and courier leveling - talent progression to level 30 - outposts added - runes changed + bottle changed + water runes added - agh shard added - roshan changes (no more cheese on second roshan; aghs shard) - changed spell cooldown (only one source, no stacking) - changes to attributes; no longer affect magic resistance, amp, and move speed pretty crazy changes. void spirit feels like it's been a staple of pro dota forever now.
TI starting now it's bullshit that they've moved this from Seattle a few times now. all of the games are on in the middle of the night.
this lgd-secret game 1 has some of the best back-and-forth high level dota that i can remember. super fun game as a neutral.
no lol, accidentally clicked cause it was close to Husk thread. Spammed with likes before I realized I was lost. Tf is going on here?
Haven’t watched much of the group stage, but EG and Quincy really struggling, huh? looks like China’s TI
