Kelz emasculated Josh even worse than Wes did. I'm so glad they cast rookies with personalities this season, Big Brothers been slowly killing the vibe of the show and hopefully the rookies are able to mess them up.
Telling josh he's not the sharpest tool in the shed, and that if I was being shady, you'd be the last to figure it out was amazing. We'll definitely see him back. Big fan from what little we saw
Despite shitting on it earlier itt - I have been listening to johnny bananas' podcast. It's pretty meh but he does give some interesting inside baseball takes. For instance - some cast members are on an alcohol restrictions and aren't allowed hard liquor. He also said when they go to outings at a bar - they're not allowed to speak to anyone that's not part of the show (Not that surprising). But they're also not allowed to take shots of brown liquor. Only clear. That's so ridiculously dumb lol. Also said Josh's partner, who had to leave the show, got booted because she said some racist stuff to Aneesa. I didnt notice until they mentioned it, but they didnt even show her. They edited her completely out of the first two eps, like they did w Jordan. IF anyone has a good podcast that's more like Bill and Jacoby or Juliet and Jacoby where they just make fun of them the entire time lmk pls.
Finally got caught up -big fan of that twist where you can pick any 2 people to go down. Removed the ability to hide behind your vet partner -I felt bad for that survivor girl that got caught with the note. She looked completely blindsided that everybody found out and had no idea how to handle it -Kelz guy was awesome. He had that quiet confidence and how he figured out the game only after he got played. Hope hes back. -This Romanian chick has too much going on. The blue hair, the braces, the completely over the top dramatics…too much. -Josh coming up with that lie about kelz making all those promises and then basically having nothing to say after kelz came back at him was amazing. -had no idea who the guys was until today but I am firmly on #TeamED. The guy gets it. He got thrown down there and didn’t cry about it or be butthurt he was just ready to go. - tori and Devin being stolen? Ok I get that. But then being stolen twice in a row? The fuck?
Also can we fast forward to when these “vets” run out of rookies to just throw in and start backstabbing each other
Yeah, I liked Kelz.liked Ed too. Was really annoyed Josh's bitch ass was able to coordinate the removal of one of two really good players/characters. Fuck Josh. Why does he get screen time. Do people like him? He's not even a good Villan
thing his point is he actually seems like the leader of that alliance like, how are people gravitating to a douche with that personality and emotionally unhinged.
I just dont see why they cast Josh. He's not ever going to win, no one takes him seriously, he's not a great heel character. No one cares about him. Dude is basically female Nany and just going to live off this show for decades.
I enjoy having Josh on the show. Some of the more recent entertaining moments are because he tees it up and other cast members knock it out. Devin asking him what’s 7x9 while he was worked up was one of the funnier things on the show in the last 5 years
sure and that was funny but if she’s going to absolutely meltdown after every daily challenge she doesn’t do good at or every time she gets thrown down to elimination this is going to be one of those mental health DQ’s from the producers
Finally caught up, most of my thoughts have already been discussed in this thread but when Nelson walked outside and stood next to Kelz working out, all I could think about was this tweet. Kelz is huge.
evidently said something racist to Aneesa https://www.distractify.com/p/why-did-lauren-leave-the-challenge
Both the daily challenge and the elimination last night looked tough as shit. That was not easy water to swim in. That Tacha trying to basically drown her partner after jumping in was impressive. I had no issues with her talking that shit to Tori at the end either.
Yeah I'm all about more dailies and eliminations like those. I don't think the show should be a purely athletic contest, but I want that shit to be difficult/scary/gross. Tori blowing up the vet alliance to get rid of Big T would have been one of the biggest facepalm moments in show history
I saw his IG tagged in a challenge story and took a peek. He’s probably going to be a tough out with his engineering background. Oh, and he’s strong as shit. Any other guys on that show (besides maybe Kelz) throwing up 500?
These rookies have virtually the same numbers but no leadership or strategy vets have an agreement to go after all the rookies, rookies are just playing a scared game and are sitting ducks. will they ever realize they need to get an alliance together or will that happen when there is 2 of them left?
I think the fun part will be when there are no more rookie only teams. The voting in of half rookie/half vet is when it will get good
Nelson was disgraceful rooting against that black queen to get his dick wet with bruna. Example A. of black men being the weakest link. Been the first time I really mourn the loss of two rookies sacrificed early in the game. Kelz has so much potential. Who is Fessy fucking in production that he never gets a puzzle whenever he has to go into a elimination but Kelz has to go against a super strong Ivy League Engineer with a great collaborative personality, wtf. Kelz gotta come back and I look forward to him in future seasons. I dig the energy of Tachia immediately shitting on tori the second she lost that elimination too. Shout out to the cast I didn’t think a lot of them would finish that daily. Swimming is hard and that was a lot of swimming. Cool start to the season.
Tori being exposed and getting the villain edit is great. This is a really good batch of rookies, it's too bad they're stuck with the Vet B Team Josh becoming a leader is not a good thing for the show
Was Jordan guiding Tori's strategy that much? Apparently so because she came in hot last season and got eliminated. Now she can't control the urge to tell everyone she's going get revenge on Big T. Bizarre behavior here. The elimination looked tough. I wonder how long it took?
Maybe they will quit bringing back Boring brother, Nany, and all the useless vets coasting on the challenge to pay their bills.
I think their biggest issue is they don't have a solid connection with the show they came from. I feel like not many ppl are watching survivor or big brother on a massive network and then dropping down to low level MTV. Before, when MTV was strong with RW and RR there was a natural progression and continuation of ppl you followed on a previous show.
Tori is terrible. Hope it blows up at her. What I don't get is why hasn't a Rookie team stepped up and really tried to take control of the voting odds. I guess that one new guys, maybe Stephen L, tried to with another guy while lifting....then the guy doing curls was all "Sucks for you, m8". Rookies really need to get organized. They might not be on the lowest rung right now, but it'll eventually get to them and they aren't going to have the numbers.
They were having record ratings up until this season and RW/RR has been done for years. By the end of their runs a lot of people barely watched those shows as it was and no one watched Are You the One but had no problem connecting with reoccurring cast. Problem is the current crop of vets are the B Team, a bunch of mid-tier players that weren't ready to take the baton from older group. Plus the boring Big Brother style gameplay hurts the whole house. At least some of these rookies have potential. Losing so many male players along the way hurts too. A top tier of Theo/Jordan/Turbo/Bear/Rogan would be so much better than Fessy/Corey/Nelson/Josh/Kyle.
i had been concerned the Big Brother approach would suck the life out of the show gold skulls helped, but dailys need more importance too do think MTV was calculated in sacrificing some USA viewership for global audience
I assume enough of rookies that are on teams with vets think their partner will protect them and too stupid to see the big picture.
But with the new format, they aren't protected. They'll just get picked off elimination by elimination by the authority
I think the early editing is really what's hurting. 90% of the camera time is devoted to new people that the audience doesnt know and doesnt care about. They got to show more CT, Fessy, Devin, Nany ect. Even if they arent doing shit. You know theyre still giving rookies bad advice behind the scenes and scheming.
Gotta eliminate CT before I do anything if I’m in that house. He’s the most well rounded player. Looks to be in great shape. Forget that rookie clearing noise. Send him in there against Ed or something but don’t let him chill in the cut.
