Unbelievable that they have a lottery for a 10,000 seat venue. Fucking Goose. They were playing sub 1000 seat venues last year
Being a hometown show for them it should sell well and goosemas is there big event now. They are big in CT.
Yeap, and a bunch of sub 500 venues on their 2019 fall tour. Not sure they could do many 10,000 seats arenas outside of CT right now though.
If I don’t get them in the lottery though, I would be surprised to not be able to pick up pre-sale tickets when they are released.
Just crazy to see the meteoric rise. 10,000 seats is a fuckton, regardless of it being a hometown show. There are plenty of bands that are considered “bigger” that wouldn’t be able to fill a 10,000 seat venue in their hometown.
If they fill it I think it will be last minute. Think 7’000 to 8,000 is realistic in CT for them though
I think the lottery is more about scalping. Their fall tour went quick so probably just trying to help fans. Even though this will be an easy ticket to get
May not be exclusively jam band and may be more apropos in the fest thread, but my better half surprised me with Railbird tickets this week and I'm so excited. My Morning Jacket is easily in my top 3 favorite bands so I'm stoked.
Well Goosemas presale sold out in minutes. Not sure how many of the 10K they did for lottery and presale. Still think 10k is a unrealistic and will be a fairly easy ticket
Good news(pending Covid shit). I’ll be able to see them at 800 person venue in November. This fall will probably be last time you can see them at venues that small
Still some on the presale. I’m on vacation and slept past the sale time. Got 2 in the upper bowl. Going to try to upgrade these tomorrow in the public sale and then sell the ones I have if I can.
First set was phenomenal. Extremely well played. Plus, the Esther and Scents were both pretty much perfect
What a weekend. Did Premier camping + RV this year and what a game changer. Avoiding the clusterfuck that is GA camping was the best decision I’ve ever made.
We had a friend in Gold camping and ended up getting free wristbands, so that kinda set us up for the weekend. It’s quite a hike from general camping to the venue. Air b&b and a 15 passenger van was super clutch. Can’t wait to do that again
There were spots around the campsites you could get banded for the weekend or you could just do it on your walk in to the venue. Took ~5 minutes.
Shoreline shows should be interesting. Mid-week shows re-scheduled to new venue twice the size at last minute. Could be half empty in there. Sometimes makes for a big show.
Got ours the first day and it took standing in a separate line for about 20-30 minutes. They gave out a wristband and didn’t check for it again the rest of the weekend
8/29 second set is pretty much my dream set. Crosseyed where they segue back into it with great songs in between. Pretty sure if there live I would have lost my mind at the end of I Always Wanted it This Way (Crosseyed).
new to the thread -- yo saw Tom Misch, Kano, and Jamie XX at a festival in London last week, all were excellent.
