There's not much talent at 145 in the female division in the world, let alone 155. And if she eventually signs with UFC and can get down to 145, she won't fight Nunes.
Was it even a real division before she started fighting? Didn't care for her pro wrestling promo just now.
lol what “I’m serious, that’s how much it costs. Because you take taxes off the top. 70 percent of my fight purse is gone immediately, right off the top. So I have 30 percent to work with. And that 30 percent I take to buy my organic foods, to get my – whatever – training gear, heart rate monitors, whatever other things that I need to invest in to make the camp go well. And it’s expensive. You know, it’s very expensive to eat like that.”
It's sad. She makes more than 75% of the roster? Is that fair to say? She's a former champ, vet, some consider icon, etc
sounds like someone is lying to her. A manager or something unless she meant she keeps 70% right off the top
Yea maybe she misspoke and meant 30% tax and left with 70%. Writer should have clarified bc I can't take anything else seriously after reading that part.
I took it as she was saying how it's mostly gone when you add taxes, fees, etc I was probably reading it wrong.
I'd think she's one of the top earning women out there. Former champ, big name, has her radio show. Sounds like she was in a super abusive relationship with her former coach so hopefully she's not locked into some horrible management deal.
I'm guessing the 70% includes this as well as taxes: “It’s very expensive to just facilitate the things that I need to do...travel to training different places,” she said. “Especially when you have your head coach is remote, is in Spokane, you know? So I fly him down, fly him back. Flying out to Denver to go and train with Trevor Wittman, getting to Southern California to train with Treigning Labs; all the supplements I’ve had to invest in and things like that as well. It’s just, yeah, it’s a lot more expensive than people would think. It’s not as glorious."
Turned on Bellator to watch Lugo choke out Lee as the round is ending, but looked like the fight wasn't called, and then Lee stumbles into the cage like a drunk and fight was called. Hilarious
“You speak on what you don’t see and that’s what you should be most afraid of”. Pretty gangster statement in the post fight interview
