Tradesmans are low 40s to start and if you find the right dealer you can get one in the low 30s brand new in normal times. That's essentially what I bought but with upgraded tires/wheels/bluetooth/backup camera and the body looked better on my year. I've seen them every year since I bought one around September/October for 31-33k for a crew cab 4wd. But you're not getting all the cool shit either so ymmv. EDIT: Mine is an Express
Admittedly. I’m also debt free with a paid off mortgage. I’ve spent my life in old, paid off cars. Kinda done with that phase.
About to be mortgage free, as well. My thing is wanting to drive the cheaper but still capable vehicles while the kids are still young and prone to ruining shit. I'll drive nicer shit someday.
If you want a new Tundra I would wait until the 2022 one gets completely unveiled. That should greatly reduce demand for 21 models. And you can find crewmax 4wd Tundras for a msrp of 44-45 right now, but dealers may be adding a good bit(4-5k or more) on to that price due to reduced inventory.
Should probably be in July. They were planning a big release and then some dealership let promotional pictures get out so Toyota went ahead and put out exterior pictures of the Trd pro. They have dropped a few other heavily cropped pics of the engine and interior but haven’t done a full view release yet. Since it should be on sale by November I’m sure they will have to have full unveiling before the end of summer.
1974 Tundra or Platunum? Considering 2014 - 2018, in the $35-40k range. I wanted to get into a 2019 Ram Limited, but it’s just more than I want so spend on a car right now. http://atcm.co/S2PVDP/22bb7afb
I put a deposit down on a new lightning but I think I am going to stick with my plan to get a Denali Duramax 1500
What are the different Lightning trim levels expected to price at? I saw $40k starting price, but I’m assuming $70k for a limited level.
The truck market sucks right now. Everything is so overpriced. In the market for a full size to fit the family and really eye balling a Tundra but I’m not willing to pay 35k on a 2015 with 140,000 miles. Buying from a private party is looking like my best bet.
Just personal preference. I like my Ram but I bought it because it was cheap and friends had good experiences. Preferred Chevy/Ford but didn't want to pay an extra 10k+ for a comparable truck. Cab is also fucking huge which was a big plus.
The 5th gen ram is nicer than any of the other trucks, at least comparing 2020 models. I bought a new truck last year and was fully planning on getting a Ford or GMC and the Ram blew me away. I'm very happy with that decision. Not sure if any of the brands have had a big change in 2021 to close the gap or not.
Had issues with another vehicle, and trying to pull the trigger on a used truck very soon. Was looking midsize (want to pay in cash). Initially wanted a Tacoma, but just very little out there right now. Anybody ever had a Colorado? I've seen mixed reviews.
My dad is on his 2nd colorado. I like them. His first was a 2016 LT. He retired earlier this year and bought himself a new 2020 Z71. Both were the V6 version.
Bump for anybody that didn't see it. Planning to go buy something this weekend, so any input is appreciated.
Thinking about moving up from my Tacoma to a full-size. i can trade in my Tacoma right now for what i paid for It 3 years ago
Love my Tundra so much. The only part I dislike is the outdated infotainment, and I plan on upgrading that very soon.
My 2016 Tacoma TRD Sport is about to be paid off. I'm going to sell it and get either a Tundra or a F150. You just get a whole lot more truck with a Tundra for the money. Not really trying to pay $60k for a truck. I'd do anything in the $45-50k range.
My wife drives an Acura MDX, so I'm not about to drop that kind of money on another vehicle. I don't drive much at all---about 10,000 miles a year, so something mid-size seems best to me.
Just got my wife a $55k Lexus SUV so I'm tired of driving the shitty car in the family. I was gonna be all responsible and keep driving the Tacoma with the note paid but I want something nice now.
I have no issues with my Tacoma. If I'm giving feedback here we go: I wish I had gotten leather. I don't know if I've ever seen a Tacoma with leather but I'm not huge on their cloth interior. My has a lame design on it. Probably because it's a TRD "Sport". I didn't get 4 WD which is lame. They are tiny in the back seat. Overall, they're kinda small. I'm only 6'0 but my friends that are 6'3+ hardly fit in them. Positive-no issues whatsoever. Great truck.
the new frontiers just came out New Colorado/canyons and new Tacomas are coming out next year or so. Rumors of new ranger as well prices on trucks are crazy right now If you can swing it, go for it, but I’m waiting
Transmission blew in my other vehicle, so I don’t have a choice. I’ve found several 2019 Colorados in the 25k range. Most slightly used Tacomas I’ve found are around $30k.
Colorados and Frontiers are lame. Tacoma is by far the best mid sized truck. Really the only one I'd drive.
they’re small as shit. And the new ones are underpowered theryre also really outdated compared to the competition that said, they’re Toyotas
never understood Toyota fans. they make reliable cars but they’ve been lapped in engine tech and infotainment. they are just not nice cars
Bought a '21 Tundra two weeks ago. My '07 Tundra is now in retirement, relegated to snow plowing duty. They're hard to find here in the northeast, I wound up with one minus a lot of the bells and whistles. It's still an upgrade from the 07. Last year of the 5.7 V8, and they've been making that same basic truck for 14 years. If reliability and resale are most important to you, buy a Toyota.
