Vegas golf trip is shaping up…shame none of my friends could make it. So it’s turned into 72 holes in two days. Monday I’m playing TPC Vegas in the morning and most likely Bali hai in the afternoon. Tuesday I’m playing Paiute Wolf in the morning and whichever of sun/snow is open in the afternoon.
It is unreal. Bobby Jones built it when he was back in ATL after building ANGC. Lots of holes are very similar. It feels just like Augusta out there.

I will continue to listen, but the wkly recap pods are a very tough listen most of the time. It's either inside jokes that I cant keep up with, flashing back to certain events that that I cant remember (remember Carl Sanderson at the 2004 John Deere or some shit), bitching about the coverage, and 10% of what I actually want to listen to
When they got to Randy wanting Phil on the Ryder Cup team because it would be more interesting is when I gave up. It feels like their recordings are not a discussion but each waiting their turn to fire off takes. Now the alternative I religiously listen to Shotgun Start which is 75% meaningless banter, but I tend to listen to personalities that I like first and foremost. My favorite podcast used to be Fangraphs with Cistulli and Dayn Perry which was 100% nonsense.
