I wonder if its still feasible to shoehorn them into the Footprint Center? They've done a bunch of renovations to it lately so not sure that's even an option. There's nothing else here that could accommodate them even short-term.
they need to just move already. Also force the sale to a respectable ownership group in the new city. current group is an embarrassment to the league.
is there any risk that OHL does not go back to normal season again? I mean a year in Ann Arbor at that age is appealing imo
Im not sure I haven’t read anything on it to be honest. But he chose USHL to remain college eligible before the pandemic. You don’t see a kid from Mississauga make that choice very often. More curious what the reason was
Brand new arena, billionaire owner who owns one of the country’s biggest telecom companies. Makes sense, but I still think the league wants a new market.
peladeau messed everything up when he got involved in politics with a separatist party no less( what a fucking fiasco that was too) i think that he is legit insane and nobody in the nhl wants any part of him in the boys club.
The current Coyotes owner has lied about his wealth and an overall sleezy guy. NBA rejected him as an owner, so of course Bettman said yes.
the market is also an issue in Quebec and clearly bettman wants no part of it. Houston makes more sense for the nhl if you think strictly business and that’s what they do. Quebec is a plan f option. It would take a complete collapse for the nhl to look at Quebec. Houston, a second team in Toronto, a team in Europe etc would be better for bettman than coming back to Quebec. It sucks but it seems to be the reality, Quebec is like the fat girl that you see throwing up on the sidewalk when you get out of the bar for the nhl.
Apparently the old coliseum at the fairgrounds (now “famous” for holding the election “audit”) is on the table.
do people really train in skates off the ice? that seems unnecessary and not worth the risk to me but I’m not a trainer.
This video reminded me of the football players jumping out of a pool or some qb getting chased with a broom. Nothing in this will ever help you be better at your sport
https://theathletic.com/news/judge-...very-in-abortion-for-pay-lawsuit/6eUxPR75fBSZ Kane got the same woman pregnant 3 times, paid her for the first 2 abortions, then reneged on the third Hard to imagine a much worse offseason at this point
At some point SJ is going to tell him go home and wait for a trade. If it doesn’t happen, enjoy your retirement. What a a POS.
I feel like he has the kind of game that will age very well. it's not like he's depending on elite athleticism or something. sure, I doubt he's worth that AAV at the end of the deal, but I think the likelihood is high that he's still a useful player.
I wouldn't call it a team friendly deal, but it's certainly not a bad one. I think he ages similar to bergeron where at the end of the deal he's still providing elite defense and 40ish points of offense. Assuming the cap rises, it's not a bad deal at all.
