Just dropped my middle daughter off for her first day of kindergarten. God damn, dad had to hold his shit together walking her to the classroom.
Ours is asking that the parents don't even get out of the car, not even to walk to the front door But the district also isn't mandatory masks, soooo
Last year our K did a walk your kid to the classroom a week before school started with 15 minute appointment times to space it out. My wife did that so I didn’t step foot past the entry way of the school until May even though I picked him up most days. Very weird. Not sure how it will be when he goes back next week. Can confirm Paw Patrol was well liked by my kids yesterday.
My wife makes me take one of these every year(now glad she does). Was looking at all 4 last night and started bawling like a baby.
My wife had to go to urgent care for fluids a while back and they asked if she was Covid positive. She said no because she had taken a couple of the Binax ones and the doctor laughed and said that didn’t mean shit. Tested again and negative but it sounds like the home tests aren’t favorably viewed
You’re supposed to take two binax tests 24-36 hours apart. That brings the probability of a false result down very low. My house had 4 negative tests in 48 hours. I agree that it’s not ideal, but I’m comfortable with it given the lack of hallmark Covid symptoms (fever, coughing, loss of taste/smell, etc). The Covid world with little kids is pretty hard to navigate right now.
Yes and she did the same thing. I wasn’t saying what you did was wrong by any means just what we were told.
I get it. Believe me…I would feel awful if it was Covid. I can’t keep my kids out of school all week waiting to find out. My wife works at a pediatric clinic and they have been out of tests since Monday. No slots are available at CVS/Walgreens until the weekend within a 10 mile radius. I called two urgent cares…no tests available. It’s pretty frustrating.
My nephew recently introduced my 5 year old to bottle flipping and bottle flipping videos by this kid named Colin Amazing and now he is obsessed. It's all he wants to do. And all I want to do is smack Colin Amazing's parents in their stupid faces for encouraging this shit.
Our son has classmates that are way in to it and it’s allegedly all they do. Our son is instead stuck on Ryan. I haven’t decided which is worse.
Anyone know anything about child-only insurance plans? I’m on the NHS so I don’t need insurance but my post-air force benefits run out in a few weeks so I’m trying to get 1/3 covered back home. I can get her covered thru the reserves program but it’s a bit pricey since I have to cover both of us to cover her.
Colin Amazing's parents are probably on a beach somewhere spending all the money their son makes them with his youtube channel.
Probably on the beach of the island that Ryan's parents bought because that little shit just prints money. Fuck em all.
I legitimately respect Ryan's mom. she's a fucking genius. I find the whole thing extremely annoying and hate everytime my daughter asks me to put it on tv, but that mom built a goddamn empire and she's very good at it. I'd be willing to bet she was a teacher at some point. her educational videos are very good.
https://www.businessinsider.com/inside-ryans-world-business-interview-youtube-tv-toys-2020-9 This kid is the top earner on Youtube and sells an insane amount of toys and other merch. They are bringing home hundreds of millions a year and it all started with their kid opening toys on Youtube.
it's one of the most successful youtube channels in the US and has spawned a Nick Jr. show and a full toy/merch line.
Even more is that it's a super limited window to do it all. Ryan the 16 year old isnt exactly as appealing.
My guess is that it has more to do with user error and not the test itself. If administered right it's probably pretty reliable or at least as reliable as any other rapid test (which has it's own limitations)
Naw. My little girl has a boy name with an s at the end of it. I’ve only met one girl with her name in my life.
nah I’m asking why u need a 4 in 1 for $700? I got a 2 year old and we have gotten by with just regular car seat and $60 stroller and after he started walking he doesn’t anything to do with a stroller, about $500 cheaper then that
We got 2, 1 for each daily driver (I said seats not seat). My boy is still 97% percentile for height at 14 months (today actually) and I do not want to buy any more damn car seats, boosters, etc. These last until they are in regular seat belts.
My motto has always been “life is too short to spend half of it switching car seats from one vehicle to the next.” Our Christmas present to our parents before Levi was born was the base to our infant seat.
my son turned 2 on July 1st and he's just so damn smart and coversational. it almost seems like he's 4. and way cooler already than I have ever been - not that there was a high bar.
I only have one car seat in my car, but we take my wifes car so much with both kids so it hasnt been an issue yet. I feel like Im playing with fire at some point though
My wifes car we use more often has the “nicer” car seat while I have the more basic common brand…I think my mine is actually better.
We have two kids and two car seats. Each set of grandparents has one car seat. Generally the only time we have to move one is when both kids are going with one set of grandparents. Rarely do I have one kid and my wife has the other and outside of that we just switch cars.
3 kids, 10 car seats/bases. 2 cars + nanny. It’s a racket. We have 2 Britax just sitting in our bedroom because when we had #3 they were too big to fit 3 across.
I am convinced that one of the “dad’s” friends from the videos is actually Ryan’s dad. Ryan looks just like him.
