Thanos crushes the Eye but then says, “a fake” Can probably assume at this point Strange was wearing a fake EoA. Not to mention he had a spell on it, which would most likely prevented him from crushing it even if it were real.
I don’t know what the MCU actually considers to be the eye (the amulet and stone are 2 completely different items in the literature). The amulet was never damaged, remember it is protected by “a simple yet unbreakable curse” when he takes it on Titan, Thanos even says “a fake” when he crushes it. The stone is given back to the Sorcerer Supreme by Cap.
No, Strange gives the stone to Thanos, was destroys it to atoms. They get a stone from the Ancient one and return that one to her in 2012. Strange shouldn’t have a stone in the eye anymore.
If the stone isn’t returned to the Eye then Strange never defeats Dormammu and the Dark Dimmension is allowed to destroy the world. Spoiler
Are you saying The Cursed Child isn’t the best made-for-theater work of fiction in history? Say it ain’t so!
That is a lot for me to process. The last Marvel video game was a dud, right? Hope this is worth the price of admission.
you better not be talking ultimate alliance cuz that delivered, but I did hear the avengers fame sucked
Anyone going tonight? Debating whether I want to try the D+ thing because it would make it easier and save $$ long term if I wanted to see it again, but I also kind of feel bad doing it for some reason.
The stone is returned to a completely different timeline though. Prime timeline strange has his stone taken/destroyed by Thanos, and in the prime timeline the stones are now reduced to atoms. There are no more usable infinity stones in this timeline. Alternate timeline strange would still have the stone because it was returned by cap and he would have no idea who Thanos is.
So say the writers, or the Russo’s, or vice versa because they had different interpretations of Cap’s final journey. The whole point is you can’t look at the Eye and say it’s a screw up when there are dozens of ways to explain time paradoxes either way. It will never make perfect sense and unless you are named Kang you just gotta roll with it.
I realized this week that I'm probably not going to be all that into the new phase of the MCU given that I'm not really into multiple universes and/or time travel. I'm sure Feige can convince me otherwise and I'll certainly watch No Way Home, but, as of now, the Strangeness of it all is somewhat off-putting.
Is there a good Dr Doom comic series or graphic novel? I’ve never been a huge fantastic 4 fan but always like Doom.
Yes. An occasional series here and there and then collections of bigger stories he's been involved with over the years
